Assuming that someone has consented to things they don’t even have any idea of , that’s cruelty. That means they are already taking our rights away. That’s not fair.

It makes sense with everything that's going on. No, it's not a fair law. People should be allowed to decide for themselves, not the government making decisions for people.

I honestly don’t care. What’s the point of dying and letting your organs decay in the grave when you can actually save Nine. Spread love ❤ even in death.
Besides when you are gone, you have NO use of your body parts so why save what is needless to you and useful to others. ❤❤❤
May we have no cause to need organs in Jesus name, Amen 🙏

      Exactly!
Your organs are anyway removed and discarded during embalming.
This is the friendliest law from a government

    Thanks for the invaluable information.
I think it should not be a must to be an organ donor. Many people will not know about this unless the UK sends everyone this information before they die .
I'm a donor myself since my body will be of no use after I pass on .

I managed to call them as I was still not able to submit the opt out form. According to the officer who completed it for me I will get a confirmation email after a week via email.
    Thank you

No one is so greedy to refuse a donated organ, if you do accept a donated organ, then you should also be ready to be a donor, acceptor and donors are 2 sides of the same coin. Let's all be donors

It’s very necessary and I would love to have such law in Ghana 🇬🇭 because the rate at which people are dying of kidney failure is very high and most people can even pay for medical treatment.. omg like this law will help us a lot

I think I remember NHS sending texts out some years back with a deadline to opt out of donating organs and I remember only getting this few days to the deadline.

My family that would be left behind when I am gone would make the decision if they feel comfortable with it. I always think about what effect my decisions would have on my family.

Organ donation law doesn't consider race, immigration status,,,,,,,,, which might have dealt with the deceased while a life 😂😂😂😂😂

I feel organ donation should come naturally for everyone, if I'm ever in need of an organ, I'd be happy to know there is one available just because someone else was kind enough to let me have theirs in any event they were no longer living. I'm struggling to see why that is such a bad thing. The option to opt out should be there anytime of course. I have donated blood so many times and have saved countless lives with it. It is a good thing.

It’s not new. Been there a while. However you can opt out. So if you do not opt out. Then u are automatically a donor

I am a donor, I signed in in b4 2020. Let others live when iam nolonger here to make use of them.
Is selfishness not to be a donor, u don't want human to use them, but dey will be eaten by worms

    Hi Nanelle,
    Thank you for this info.
But please I would need your advice on this
I came to the UK with a student visa, I completed my studies and switched to a skilled worker visa. I was a nurse back in Ghana and I would like to register with NMC UK.
I have written my CBT…..but I wanted to ask if I should still write ielts to register with NMC Uk since I have studied for a year in the UK and also worked as a carer for almost 2 years now or there’s a way where I wouldn’t write ielts but just the OSCE exams.

    • @DubemBlessingOkudo

Yes, you can get a letter from your employer stating that you're working in an English speaking environment and that you're proficient in English. You can also get the letter from your school stating that you were taught in English. That way, IELTS will be waived for you. Goodluck in your OSCE exam and wishing you all the best 👍

I don't think this information is correct. I'm a nurse in NHS and we only ask people who are still alive if they'd be interested to donate their organ at death , or in and end of life situation family members like next of kin has the right to give consent for organ and tissue donation in place of their dying loved ones. So I doubt if this information is correct 😞

Please I'm currently having two different IELTS test report form. Thus, one from British Council Ghana and the other IPD Ghana. Both are Academic IELTS and the scores obtained meet clubbing.
I'll like to know if I can club the two results even though one is from British Council and the other IDP.

    Hi Nanelle
    Thank you for this information
But I also need clarification on some matters please.
I was once refused a visa, however when I reapplied, I stated that yes I was once refused..
Though for the refusal reason, I copied what was in the letter and put it as a reason.
Though my employer later explained to me..that the initial refusal though stated in the letter was due to an English requirements..
After much investigation, it was due to an incorrect soc code given
In which in my application I already applied with an new CoS and correct code.
In this situation, does it have a negative implication??
Additionally, I uploaded my refusal letter..in the new application...
Hope there won't be any repercussions?
    Thank you in anticipation.
