    A rarely talked about subject of electric autos is rash driving.
    Normally when someone rides a petrol vehicle you can at least "hear" something coming. However electric vehicles are silent and if driven rashly(which most auto drivers do anyway) they are deadly to both other motorists and people crossing the roads. I don't think this transition should be pushed unless there is a guarantee of safety to others on the road.

    • @brandonpinto5290
      @brandonpinto5290 Рік тому +12

      Haha good point. This predicament is present with electric two wheelers too. You simply have no auditory signal that they are coming up behind and close to you. The same problem puts me off from owning an e-bike because, since they are silent, if I'm negotiating a corner the people on the opposite side won't be able to sense I'm approaching the corner unless I sound the horn.
      If only manufacturers devised a way in which electric vehicles could make their physical presence felt,like adding appropriate artificial sounds...then it would be much safer option.

      @@bipinmc123 not only do we sense vehicles by their physical presence but as long as motor vehicles have existed we have used sensory input in the form of sound vehicles produce to keep us more alert and have situational awareness whether they are behind us or the frontward approach .
      Why do police fine people who put earphones with loud music when riding? It's because they block out traffic sounds and we become more susceptible to accidents.
      So it's my belief that sound is an aid to our driving and more important than we think even though majority of the input we use is visual.

So you need a much much heavier battery, and they will still have much lower range. Also lithium batteries charge much faster than lead acid battery. I will try to give you different persepective for the same:
    My dad owned Ev auto dealership of a very good company and the main isse which we faced were financing the auto driver. they usually had a very poor cibil score or lack of documents. Most banks declined giving loans to auto driver because they the loans disbursed by bank to previous auto driver most of the time defaulted.
    Whatever these drivers say, the main issue was of loan between the bank and the driver.
    I think auto driving is very fragile business model and introducing Ev in this market is very difficult. do whatever you want, spend as much as you want for marketing, but if the drivers won't cooperate with the bank, it will become difficult for EVs penetrating into this market.
    buying EV for private use is very different from buying EV for commerical use. They never go hand in hand has many challenges.
    commercial EV market is yet to emerge after private EV market.
    auto walas will be the last of the last sector to adapt the usage of EVs.

    Air pollution from autos?. Does LPG and CNG cause pollution?

    • @rodneydsouza2454
      @rodneydsouza2454 Рік тому +1

      yes it does. Even in your homes your gas stoves cause indoor pollution. LPG is much better than petrol but its still a pollutant. Any fuel burning causes the release of CO2. CNG produces 20-30% fewer greenhouse gas emissions and 95% fewer tailpipe emissions than petroleum products.
      The cleanest is electric which causes no pollution, except while manufacturing the battery but work is being done to find better solutions for it.
