My husband was in the Navy and was deployed in December more than he was home. Christmas in July was an important holiday for us. We exchanged gifts, had our traditional food, played games, watched movies, visited friends, and whatever other Christmas activities we could think of. Calling it NOEL makes me sad. We weren’t the only family celebrating at an odd time of year, but it was equally important to everyone. When he was home over the actual holidays we had a simple day and would craft and relax. Now I’m alone and can holiday whenever I want.
I am so glad that you took time that you had together and made it special in July. Those will be memories you will have forever. I have had to do similar with family who are scattered all over the place. We celebrate when we are together. My dad was military and would be away from us for long periods of time. We really cherished the times that we got to be with him.

Super cute penguin! I don’t have anymore styrofoam eggs, so will have to substitute something for it cause I definitely want to make some of these. Absolutely love the gingerbread man. I'm obsessed with these lil ginger bread men..! Unfortunately I couldn't find that fleece nor did I find the trimming around the hands and feet....ugh...this was at Walmart....I'll have to go across the border for materials....greetings from Southern Texas
