Greetings from Argentina. I love this species and finally got a female. She has not been hand raised. I wish to be able to domesticate and breed her. In Argentina, the Amazons are not very popular.
hello, I have a problem my budgies are ready to mate how do I know this? well the male is stepping on the female and stuff and I know it means they are mating so what do I don't have a breeding cage I wasn't planning on having a baby budgie what will happen if I don't have a breeding box will they still mate or ?
Again it depends, some birds lay eggs on the feeding box, some looks for a safe place. Sometimes they don't lay eggs even after mating until they are convinced that there eggs will be safe. So if you don't want babies then don't provide them a breeding box.
Those baby birds look soooooo cute
I have been with me for a year, Jendaya, who is gaining confidence day by day. I wish I could have the same luck with the Green.
Best of luck

Greetings!
It's tough to domesticate them once they are adult but not impossible.
Good luck buddy..
