Great tips! I can only imagine the stress of being lost in a new unknown city 😮. Yes GPS is a must for me everywhere. Thanks for another great video and tips ☺️
This is a helpful reminder of how much travel needs have modernized. But....we recently did wish we had a paper map in an EU country where GPS didn't work EVERYWHERE. Plus they are helpful for the big picture that you don't get on a phone. (In the end, we survived without one, I think.) I am a photography hobbyist, so I totally appreciate the high quality photos that come from a large camera. I agree with you, though, and have given up on having those quality photos since my phone camera is tiny and can capture moments. BUT....anyone who really cares about true photo quality will still want to pack a big camera. They are not the same. AND...believe it or not...on more recent flights, I have been watching the attendants actually ask for or recommend the paper tickets when there are issues. So the moral of the story is that you gotta go with what is comfortable for you but be encouraged to take a leap and lighten the load where possible! Thanks for your great advice!!
Ahhh Millennials .. Think they can resolve everything with their phone 🙄 1--A good high zoom camera like a Sony RX10IV absolutely destroys any phone on both picture quality and flexibility 🧐 2--Paper works without electricity or internet. Absolutely have a backup of important docs. If you lose your phone your dependence has you screwed on many fronts 😱 3--For GPS get a cheap used Garmin and update the maps so no internet worries 🤔 Your travels may be once in a lifetime, so don't put all your eggs in one basket 😬
