I've read somewhere that if you buy a house in Highland Park the chief of police will pay you a visit and introduce himself.
I'm sure that is the case. They have their own police department separate of Dallas. Where do you live now?

Los Angeles is a mental basket case compared to Texas! What genuine down to earth people I met in Texas.
If the people of Dallas-Fortworth-Arlington remain conservative then Dallas will be safe. Or at the very least liberal conservative things will be fine. As long as they keep building houses prices will remain stable. However lately it seems like the city is getting more and more liberal. Which is sad to me. Seems like Dallas will be the next Los Angeles. Things can change but I highly doubt it will with the millions moving in from California.

is highland park snobby?
Yes. There is also an unspoken rule to not sell to people of color. The first black person and only to live there had to assimilate heavily as many do in corporate America to keep the peace. She was a CEO of Bank of America at the time. Most if any black people live there, it's usually a black man married to a white woman and that's it.
