I’m Norwegian, I love Portugal and go there as often as I can. The whole feeling of the city of Lisbon is so relaxed, friendly and nice. And you feel safe there. Love Portugal and it’s people, and the men are really sexy, just saying.....

@@abertalbert7219 Indeed! And I was impressed by the fact that every fachade in old town looked like if it was restored recently. On the contrary, many fachades of old buildings in Lisbon need rehabilitation and restoration!
Yup, but that increses the feeling of "old city" of LIsbon
I think exactly the same, Prague is probably more interesting in terms of architecture because Lisbon was destroyed in a Earthquake but Lisbon views, the light and the old charm are unbeatable, even for Prague.
@@luismarques9280 Ι think that in Lisbon there is interesting baroque architecture too and few eathquake surviving houses in Alfama - also, the fact that it is dirtier, makes it more authentic and bohemian than the "disneyfied" Prague.

Thanks WW for another interesting walk in historical Lisbon. We had a day trip to Lisbon from Albufeira few years back. It was a sunny Feb day. We went to Belem first, crossing 25th April bridge. The bridge itself is a marvel of civil engineering. We could catch the sight of the bridge from your Riverside walk. The river is more like a sea as it is the estuary.
We also walked Rossi square and Commercial square. Being February, it was not busy. We did not have time to ride the lift to upper Lisbon platform. May be next time.
We returned via the marvellous modern Vasco da Gama bridge.
We liked the mosaic walkways of Lisbon. Quite classy. Thanks for letting us re visit some sites we went.
Thanks Pagla, it sounds like you had a lovely time in Lisbon. It was my first time there so I tried to explore as much as I could in the time I had - which was quite a challenge considering there was a heatwave while I was there. I saw the 25th April Bridge, but did not get to cross it on that visit - perhaps next time!

Thanks for making this video. It's the best walking tour of Lisbon I've seen on UA-cam. You've chosen a very good time to film it with the diffuse light of the setting sun on a somewhat overcast evening. When I toured Lisbon personally, it was on a bright sunny afternoon and the city did not look as great as it does in your video. Well done.

August is the worst for a visit because of all the tourists, July is super busy too :-( good tip:end of June or beginning of September are the best times to visit :-) less tourists and good weather :-D enjoy

Lisbon as the capital has a higher rate of crime as you would expect but nothing compared with London, Paris...
The major problem nowadays is the graffiti and some dudes selling false "drugs".., and of course the pickpockets...
Are there public bathrooms near the waterfront? I always worry about that. When I was in Barcelona near the beach, they had NO bathrooms by the Mediterranean and forced you to eat in a restaurant to use one.

I tried to walk all the way up I couldn't and I ended taking the trip. Here is the tip - this tram cost you 3.5 Euro but if you have the metro card from the training station it will cost you only 1.5 Euro @TravelGooRoo
