I just finished Writers and Lovers. I loved the view of Casey as no longer being the “youngest kind of adult”. As a 36-year-old, I very much identified with that sense of looking for an adult and realizing that’s me. I also loved the use of Mary as the old guard waitress. Casey is perhaps in danger of not making it as an artist and becoming a career waitress instead of an author. I could go on, but I just adult. Thank you for your book and your thoughts. I just picked up My Name is Lucy Barton after living Olive and Olive Again.
