It's interesting to me how contested the 'strongest man ever' claim is between three athletes who all podium-ed at WSM for 3 years in a row. Is it Big Z? Is it Brian Shaw? Is it Thor? They all have a claim.
I'd say Big Z is the best Strongman ever, Thor is the strongest Strongman ever, and Brian has the most "odd strength" ever seen in a person
To directly answer your question, Hafthor Julius Bjornsson is the Strongest Man to have ever lived.
