Why would they. These trooper do not go into a office to check in so much of is on the honor system. What they need to do is have gps in the cars and making sure these people are actually doing the job. Cameras in the car would also help where soneone can just turn on in headquarters and see the trooper is in the car traveling. But there is something wrong with the police because any cop working 80 hours is not going to get enough rest to be safe on the street. Most deptment have limits on overtime just for this reason. But when you have one party in charge for 70 years you get a nice buddy buddy work set up and everyone covers for each other. We have a crappy time clock setup at my job and even it has the ability to allow remote clock in/out and logs where you are when you clock in/out. It also has the ability to only allow clock in/out in specific zones. If my crappy job has a crappy setup that can do all that then I’m certain a taxpayer funded entity can put in place something similar but of higher quality. Plus I’m certain all those vehicles have gps and should be monitored for irregularities.
A perfect illustration for the necessity of outside regulation. A solid system of checks & balances is mandatory for accuracy. Whether it's the police, banks or corporations etc., when rules aren't enforced, people will try to get away with everything possible, imo.
As a family member of a BRPD officer this is outrageous to me, as I'm sure is to him as well. If anyone else were to try this crap at their job, not only would they be be fired immediately but most likely they'd be facing criminal charges. So how the bleep do these people still have a job? The attitude of the police superintendent makes me believe he condones the criminal acts. Sickening.
I had 2 identical parking tickets written by 2 different cops with the same exact time on the tickets. 1 ticket was on my truck and I paid the ticket. Excellent investigation. Thank you for exposing more corrupt, criminal cops.
The Chief "It's troubling what I'm seeing, shoot I'm going to miss all that kick backs I'v been getting from these guys"
lol these guys would have thrown him under the bus in a split second for a deal.
Did anyone go to jail for this? L.A.C.E. is a federal program, that should carry a felony and prison time...
Highly doubt it. They're probably still on the job.
I bet the reporter is being investigated now.. I'd be scared of retaliation by these officers
General rule of politics is don't fuck with the media. All the media has to do is report on it and the public would demand heads to roll
Hell yeah, they know where he lives and are harassing him now lol
The top cop had over 10 years on the job .imagine all the crimes his cops have commited and covered up by that chief.shameful and criminal.
the whole department needs to be investigated
They're stealing taxpayer money. That's why taxes are so high.

It clearly does. If your a blue gangster

They have a very strong union so everything must be done exactly right or they will get out of it.
