The Japanese people are so opposed to militarism that Japanese officers are expected to suffer zero causalities on any operation, not participate in combat on military operations and humanitarian missions, and are expected to avoid even accidental deaths. It wasn't an official law but I've read that commanding officers are expected to resign command if they suffer any losses, even due to freak accidents or no fault accidents.

Нет, достойным противником их нельзя было назвать, 4 года войны против слабого и разобщенного Китая и небольших гарнизонов Союзников это больше избиение, а вот после столкновение с реально серьезным врагом Японии надо было бы подумать о том, насколько глубоко отстала их армия, которая брала больше числом чем холодным умением.
