    In this tutorial for the Origami Mini Magic Ball (sometimes called the Dragon Egg or Dragon's Egg because of the cool exterior look), I explain the easiest way I know how to make or fold it - (btw if you have UltraHD or ability for 4K watch it in super high quality!).
    This is an awesome Origami Action Toy that squishes, transforms, and is otherwise just fun to play with and is great for relieving stress!
    EVEN SO, I classify this model as a High Intermediate/Low Advanced model because of the repetitive amount of folds and attention to details, not because of its difficulty. It is tedious (time consuming) so try it when you have free time set aside.
    For this model, we're going to use a 1:2 proportion/ratio paper. I will be using an 8.5x11" printer sheet, but you can use pretty much any kind of paper. Tape WILL be necessary for this model. Though there are methods for joining the ends together without it, I found it much simpler to learn this way first.
    This is one of the most challenging video tutorials I've ever worked on, taking weeks to plan out and edit, reviewing 10s (if not 100s) of times and just making sure the quality was top notch. In that case, I humbly request that you appreciate the time went into making this project and THUMBS UP if you enjoyed, Comment- (and if you can find those Secret Subtitles ;-), share, and SUBSCRIBE. Thank to you all for the continued support! Love you all and hope you enjoy it!

    The Mini Magic Ball is based from the classic Water Bomb (balloon) base and was originally designed by Yuri and Katrin Shumakov, so thanks to them for letting me make this tutorial. They do have other designs based on the Magic Ball in their book, which you can find on Oriland.com, so check it out if you'd like to know more!

      This is not a beginner model and I made it as easy as I could. Like I said, try watching it first then doing it. I’d also recommend trying the origami Rose and Kaleidoscope first

    Thanks to all you guys for the support! I know this isn’t like my usual tutorials but the magic ball contains many repetitive folds. Therefore try watching it in parts and then pause the video and try it yourself. That OR you can now change the SPEED settings on UA-cam. Either way I DO NOT recommend you try to follow along. You’ll find it’s not that hard once you practice and do it a few times (took me about 4 or 5). Thanks again and see you soon

    6:49 We created 485 squares/boxes

    • @RobsWorld
      @RobsWorld  6 років тому +9

      Arnav Sinha Roy nice job dude.. but how did you get 485? I was thinking of a different number but also knew there are cubes within cubes and such. Can you explain?

    • @Breacher456
      @Breacher456 6 років тому +6

      Rob's World Well Rob, you divided your paper into two sides (therefore 2 squares with dimensions of 8x8) and then you had all of the smallest squares (I call them 1x1s and there were 168 of them).
      But then I began to count all the squares with dimensions of 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6 and 7x7. I added all my results and I got 485.
      I hope that explains it all. What number were you thinking of?

    • @RobsWorld
      @RobsWorld  6 років тому +9

      You did get most of them correct, so you know what I will pin it for a bit just for you watching through and trying! Great job man :-) But next time, I will say that no editing of comments will be allowed (though I may have the original somewhere)! :-P

    Hey Rob! So I was wondering about giving you a challenge. If folding the mini magic ball requires a 8x16 grid, a bigger version of the magic ball requires a 16x32 grid, can you go higher up and make the ultra magic ball with 32x64 grid? I bet its gonna be awesome to play with and capable of doing other stuff as well. So, are you up for the challenge?
