I remembered He's said he puts it back to straight position, apply the detail then puts it back to tilt position. you can also do it with Stager feature in zbrush if you keep the same topology
He keeps a copy of a subtool aligned to the axis of the scene for symmetry. Starting from ver. 2023 you can use a gizmo to set a local symmetry for each subtool.
You can either take your blocking, place it straight in a new Ztool, work on it and place it back on the model. Or you can use the new Dynamic Symmetry which act like "Local Symmetry" from Max
