- I was pretty excited to get in another consignment recently - and I can confidently say that I haven't sold 80% of these types before, so the items will bring an interesting variety to the auctions up ahead! Most of them are from the Cantons of Switzerland, old Sweden, or the various German and Germanic states from the 1600s to the 1800s, so it was a pleasure to be able to unbox this group to see the variety within. Always on the search for another consignment!

Awesome purchases. 3:20 The copper coinage of Hamm has nothing to to with Hamburg, it´s a town in Westphalia at the eastern rim of the "Ruhrgebiet". During this time, it belonged to the "Grafschaft Mark" wich was a part of the Kingdom of Prussia under Friedrich Wilhelm I., the "soldier king". Worth around twenty bucks. 4:48 No Threepoelker, this is just a Groschen from Anhalt- Bernburg. Threepoelkers were minted by Poland and Prussia during that time. 5:58 There are two types of coins fom Cologne: 1. minted by the Archbishop and 2. minted by the city administration. Don´t be frustrated, Christian: German coin history during that time is a very complicated thing. Greets from GER, U.

I dream of getting ahold of a high grade George III Cartwheel 2d. My favourite of the extra chunky boys, clearly displaying Britains rapid ascent into industrialisation.
Great looking coins! Thx for the preview!
Love your channel and Whatnot auctions!
A fun fact about your coin from Anhalt-Bernburg: The principalities of Anhalt consisted of different lines of one family. A Line, based in Zerbst, is known for having provided the later Russian tsarina Catherine II the Great with Princess Sophie Auguste Frederike.
The term Further Austria (Vorderösterreich) is a collective term for possessions of the House of Habsburg, especially in what is now Alsace, Baden-Württemberg and south-west Bavaria.
Awesome set there, Christian. I prefer the older non precious metal coins. Especially the German State coins from the Holy Roman Empire
Amazing coins. Hopeful I may be able to get one or two. Take care.
