The King of Gear (tkog) Pitch Magpie - polyphonic pitch shifter

As a long-term fan of tkog, I feel incredibly honoured to have gotten the opportunity to check out their latest creation; the Pitch Magpie.
This is a time-based, polyphonic pitch-shifter that is packed with cool features, such as glissando, vibrato, high-pass/low-pass filtering, momentary activation/bypass, expression control over multiple parameters, and relay switching. And it's all been crammed into a compact enclosure, with top-mounted jacks!

I don't really get why they have that jumper inside the pedal instead of just adding another switch on the outside of the pedal.
