I actually love Animalique. I had a feeling I would like it but honestly expected something different because of the name. It still worked out and is such a nice, soft, powdery, suede fragrance with some fuzzy sweetness. I can definitely see it being a signature scent. It smells like what I thought JHAG Ode to Dullness would be before I tried it.

Almost purchase Animalique recently but I went for another company due to the refillable solution plus my choice to go for something less robust.Biblioteque is my favourite. In general the perfumes have “body” which I have not experienced with any other brand up to now. I think that just a bit on the skin lasts forever. Love Byredo and wish to get a mini collection soon.
Bal d’Afrique is one of my favourites. I also love Eleventh Hour and have Black Saffron but find I need to be in the right mood for it (and it’s a bit plasticky to me). I have never had issues with longevity with Byredo. Black Saffron and Eleventh Hour last all day on me. BS can even be a bit of a beast. I also love their eyeliner. Will definitely check out Rouge Chaotic.
Tobacco Mandarin is a beast. Beautiful mix of Tobacco, mandarin, a bit of leather and Oud and I get animalic touches (cumin probably) and it lasts and lasts. 2 sprays and my mum from 6-7 feet smelled it so it has great sillage and projection. Definitely full bottle worthy and it’s on my top 10 wishlist for sure.
I agree, it's one of my favorites for '23 too. I tried it at Neimann Marcus and I almost got it there, but thanks to you, im now a 'eu de addict' at Fragrancebuy,😂
rouge chaotique to me has lot of orange or other candied citrus fruit, the citrusy notes are very strong to me but in a very airy, pleasant and fresh way animalique is even better

As you said, because of the name, I thought it would be animalic, but it isn’t at all! Such a gorgeous scent! And Rouge Chaotique sounds really delicious, too! Happy Holidays! ❤
Animalique was released at the same time as Revolucion Carner Barcelona. They both smell very similar, but Carner is bit more fruity, so I skiped Byredo and bought Revolucion. Try both 😊 they are great.
Rouge Chaotique sounds nice. I'm definitely taking advantage of this Boxing Day sale. I'm grabbing Rouge Saray for sure and I want Alexandria II or III but not sure which (I'm breaking my no blind buy rule for that one. lol)
Why does Animalique remind me of One Day Oolong Tea?? Is my nose broken? I can also smell the ambroxan. Luckily it’s much weaker than in Vanilla Antique
I really liked Rouge Chaotique when I've tested it at the counter a few times. I have 5 different Byredo fragrances but they just don't perform that well. So not sure I'm willing to buy from the night veils collection when I'm sure it also won't perform that well even at the higher price. I'll wait for it to hit Jomashop in 6 months or so. It's not a must have for me.
None of these two work on me. They smelled very… unbalanced on my skin. And the scent profile is- to my nose- so contemporary , that it comes off as very mainstream and boring… … and I usually adore Byredo perfume!
Ho do you think Animalique smells like Babycat? I love animalique but haven't had de opportunity to smell babycat yet, but based on the reviews Ive seen they sound similar.

I tried Vanille Antique. Just OK. Mona di Orio Vanille was a bit better, by comparison. Animalique is next up to try.
I love the house of Byredo. Animalique was an instant love for me. It reminds me of a gentle version of Rosendo Mateu No 5 with a touch of violet.
