It's kind of crazy. This game is about 10 years old, and yet for these final mix cutscenes, they brought back the original cast and did the voice work for these scenes. Not only that, they also had to reanimate the mouths to match the dialect from Japanese to English. That's actually quite astonishing and Square should be commended for it.
***** Yeah. It wasn't as bad in 3 and not that noticeable in 4, but in 2 it was just so awkward once you noticed.

+OblivionGamer the original Final Mix did NOT have English voice acting in the FM-exclusive scenes; only Japanese, and only in theatre mode (and even then you had to beat ReCoM to unlock them)
+AquaRing no final mix uses the English voice acting but with Japanese subtitles all final mix version of kh games use English voice acting

I always found it horrifying that Xemnas was so powerful he could turn other Organization members into Dusks if he wanted to.

All these new cut scenes gave me chills when I played this
redtutel Totally disagree. The villain roundtable discussions were sorely needed in vanilla KH2. They were the best part about Chain of Memories, and added a lot to KH1 as well. Some of the organization members barely got any screen time, and the new scenes helped remedy that problem.
I'll agree some of them were put at odd moments, but they all serve a purpose. Either for connecting the story with other games, tying up loose ends that were otherwise ignored or not explained, or giving depth to certain characters so that it's easier to care about them.

Holy cow, watching these for the first time, I'm definitely sorry that these weren't in the original game. They add so much more and actually give Org XIII much more to do in KH2.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ was released on the PS2. It can be played fully in English through an English Patch. Though, as is the case with Kingdome Hearts Final Mix, the exclusive cutscenes in the PS2 versions had absent voice acting, Final Mix for either used the English voice acting.

8:00 - that should have become an actual secret place in FM so that we can eventually open it up, go all the way down and fight “the will” of aqua just as we fought Terra... would have been quite awesome.
It wouldn’t have made sense, though. Aqua’s will, body, and heart were never separated. Terras will was and possesses his armor still.

The scene between Xemnas and Saix speaking is so sad, because Xemnas saying what he did to Saix, applies directly to him in these scenarios just as much.

This proves us that the Final Mix versions are the best KH games.
It would be disappointing if they managed to make them worse.

Just a thought. Xemnas tells the remaining Organization members that Sora has started another journey, and that they are to "Make sure it is one he will remember".
So Xemnas planting the seeds of darkness in Sora's heart, that he might reap in KH 3D.
And later, in the private chat with Saix - Plant confusion in Sora, that will turn to anger later..
And we know where anger goes, to darkness.
Also, Xemnas later says Axel's sacrifice might awaken "him"... Him being Roxas. And we see that in Dream Drop Distance, having Sora chasing Roxas and Xion in his dream/nightmare was part of how the Organization maintained control over him. Thy were exploiting Sora's nature of wanting to help everyone.
... Helping Nomura retcon, yup.

I just wanted to say that even with these cutscene it was clear they were using him to collect hearts by puttings innocents lives in danger using the heartless.
It was when Saïx spawned heartless during the Battle at Hollow Bastion that Sora doubted himself.
In that sense the new cutscene seem to enhance this feeling more than retconning the story.
Also the dreams Sora was having in Dream Drop Distance wasn't the Organization's doing. Xigbar told Sora they definetely put him to sleep ... but they can't put dreams inside his head. But Sora being Sora, he chased the dreams because the pain forced him to keep going.

The only scene in here that is immensely important is when (SPOILERS) Xemnas looks at the armor and when Xigbar talks about the two chambers. The fact that our... uhm, shall we say "earthly" home-boy (who hasn't exactly been himself lately) remembers what went down is staggering, to say the least.
gosh you gotta feel for axel tho... I mean even tho he did Saix dirty work and got rid of some of their own members. Axel can still keep it to himself to let the innocence of Roxas and Xion lived on until later. Losing both of that friendship must have been hard on the dude like REALLY!! Bro's Mang bromance. My dad was watching this with me, and he said something that made me tear up more at the scene TT-TT "Adults make big sacrifices, some that even makes them cry. But we'll do anything we can for our kids whom we love" TT-TT
One thing that has bothered me is that Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix was spoken in English but the cutscenes were never dubbed until now in the HD game. Yet Kingdom Hearts 1 Final Mix HD still didn't have their extra scenes dubbed.

J&L you can get in there but it requiers codes and hacking, cynical even showed in a video of several rooms and places that were "cutscene-only" in the game. Like castle oblivion, the place where you meet Naminé after you kill the twilight thorn, Roxas's bedroom and the chamber of repose.

My first experience playing through KH2 is the Final Mix version on PS4, and I'm glad it is. These cutscenes are far too important for me to experience the game without them now
I love these new cutscenes, but now it means I have to sit through a 3 min cutscene with Xemnas walking before I can see the Demyx boss cutscene when I play

Thank you Cynical, when I was doing a speed run on critical mode I still wanted to watch the final mix only cutscenes but couldn't remember when exactly they happened.
Kingdom Hearts III Re:Mind needed something like this...more scenes of the Org interacting with each other.
I enjoyed KH3 and Re:Mind. But KH2FM is overall the best game in the series for adding so kuch more context and development for its characters.
I found a cut scene movie with the Japanese versions of these scenes, seeing them after learning the full story really hit differently.

That initial scene of Xemnas's descent in the spiral walkway was so Stanley Kubrick it wasn't even funny.
Sora just sounds... off in his new "younger" sounding voice direction, KH2 sora was the best, and I hope the voice direction goes back to it in kh4.
Watching these new cutscenes gave alot more insight into Axel, Xigbar, Saix, and of course Roxas . . .

That scene at the very end with the remaining organisation members. Xemnas, Xigbar, Saix and Luxord. They're all now members of the true Organization XIII in kingdom hearts III. Isn't it such a coincidence looking back on that scene.
There were also 3 cutscenes in Birth by Sleep Final Mix that weren't part of the original game. All three of them are part of the Final Mix-exclusive Secret Episode.

The organization members barely interacted with each other in the original. And Roxas’ story felt undercooked originally. These scenes really flesh out the characters
Er, if I'm not mistaken, there are 1 or 2 cutscenes in this video that are actually on the original PS2 version, before FM came out. I might be wrong, but I have a copy of the original one, so I can double check any time. Either way, you didn't miss any FM exclusive ones, and that's all that matters ^^
All these cutscenes, like the one right before 14:30 add a little depth to the story in my oppinion. I like to think xemnas is looking for Aqua and ven because He misses them.

Kodie Russell Well before KH 3D screwed his character, Xemnas was basically Terra. Ansem SoD's appearance was that of Xehanort in his early thirties and Xemnas' was that of Terra's, just with longer and more silvery hair. This is because in BBS it's revealed that Xehanort 2.0 is a combination of Terra and Xehanort, which everyone knows. Because Xemnas was basically the manifestation of Terra, his personality and memories would take over Xemnas at times, which is why he talks with Aqua's armor so much and why he wants to find Ven because he misses his friends. Too bad all of this was ruined in KH 3D where Xemnas was reduced to "mwahaha all the development I got was a lie, I'm just a pawn for Old Xehanort!"

Now if you guys look closely at 22:04 - 22:15, you can see that Riku doesn't have Oblivion in his hand anymore, yet it magically re-appears at 22:19. Now that's what I call a, "Kingdom Fart(s)"

In the previous scene, Riku sends Roxas flying which is why he's on the ground and when Riku is walking towards him, Oblivion isn't in his hand yet when he's right up to him, it magically re-appears for him to stab into the ground. Please explain where stupidity is in that statement.

Yes the keyblade was originally meant to belong to him which is why he is able to use it, however you can't just summon someone else's whenever you choose to. Now going with your explanation and lets suppose he could summon Roxas' keyblade, explain to me why would he dismiss it just to re-summon it 10 seconds later?
***** I've made a couple of videos a few years ago showing just a couple of other things I caught in the game if you're interested. I think I made like 4 or 5 videos about it.I just point them out. But again they were made when I was like 13 (I'm 17 now) so they may be a little awkward to watch. I don't even watch my own videos anymore because I was extremely awkward...
***** Oh trust me, even if I knew how to then I still wouldn't have done it since I knew how much people hate squeakers. Even today I won't watch a video if a squeaker is commentating. I just saw them while playing through the game and thought, "Hey, I doubt everyone knows about these so why not post them pointing them out?" And alas, a whole 100 people saw them. Whoopie. Glad my time was of great value there.

Further more, Ansem is Xehanort's heartless (the heart) But Xemnas is Terra's Nobody ( the husk, the body)
Actually Xemnas knows he's Xehanort. Ansem and Xemnas are the Heartless and Nobody of Terra-Xehanort, with Ansem being Xehanort's Heartless as he has MX's heart while Xemnas is the body of Terra-Xehanort. However, he has Xehanort's memories, not Terra's.
Then why talk to Aqua's armor as a friend?
D.James. Something to be revealed in KH3? All we know for sure is that Xemnas does not have Terra's personality nor is Terra in control (obviously). Xemnas is still Xehanort, the same way Ansem is.

There was no seal. Nobodies, if they form bonds and nurture them, are capable of growing hearts. Xemnas didn't tell anyone that cause he knew they wanted hearts and decided to use them to fuel his Kingdom Hearts plan; however, Axel ended up growing one by forging a friendship with Xion and Roxas. hence how he cried.
Old fan player doesn't like Japan voice but now it make it better with this.
I have this theory that when Lea and Isa were young, like a little bit after BBS, they learned of Xehanorts plan and that they planned to derail that plan somehow, and Isa was eventually caught and given the "X" Scar on his face to keep track of him, and the yellow eyes to show he had became a vessel, after that he would be constantly watching Axel, who showed that he wasnt able to become a 13th Darkness, but Axel appeared to be useful, because he was friends with Roxas, being able to keep an eye on Axel, Isa, would constantly watch them, and Xemnas harbors memories of Terra quite obviously, but I think he could reside within that nobody, or have some form of effect from the memories that could eventually aid in his return.
But still pleanty of possibilities~

I really don't like the way they keep their faces obscured when sitting in the room in the round room, Until They Reveal Themselves To The Player. Like I get when they're out on the field you want to cause confusion between them and Riku, and their MO is not to be seen, but when they're just chilling in their own castle there's absolutely no need for the hoods. It's not like their faces are spoilers or anything.
I thought they look cool like that but I get what you mean.
Why would it matter if you can tell who it is by their voice?
Because it makes no sense in universe. Why would they keep their face hidden in private meetings between themselves? It's not part of their general rules since each member stops doing it as soon as the player sees their face. If they all had their hoods up all the time because that's the way they want to do things I wouldn't mind.

Oh my god.....I already saw those scenes by playing 2.5, but everytime I see the last moment where Roxas and Axel are together and say good bye, I keep crying so much, it's just horrible to see Axel cry like that ;-; plus, he now has chosen to protect Sora because he knows Roxas is (a part of) him !!! It wouldn't surprise me. Through out KH2 you can see who's *really* the bad guys. Everyone with yellow eyes (Xemnas, Xigbar and Saix). The rest still has normal eye colors. Which indicates that they're not really evil. But rather just confused and desperate for hearts). Their pre-nobody selves in Birth By Sleep and their post-nobody selves in DDD does not really seem evil in any way. (Or Evan is a bit creepy in BBS, but other than that...)
As nobodies they were all manipulated by Xemnas. As soon as they realize that. Which i bet they will in KH3. They all probably want revenge over Xehanort and teams up with the good guys in order to get it.
At least that's how i imagine it. One can always hope.

Something always gets my attention, no matter how many times I see this video... at 5:08, when Saïx says "the young Sora". The YOUNG Sora. Normally, they refer to him as 'The Keyblade's Hero', or simply 'Sora'. Why is there the 'young' this time? I always think about the fact that Master Xehanort can actually time travel... I know as the conversation continues, it is clearly stated that it's not possible that this scene could be in the future (Or else they have a weird way of talking about things that already what have been and there would be a huge foreshadowing what Axel/Lea is doing), but it just makes me wonder... Has Cynical noticed this or not?
Are there any other videos similar to this that you've posted? I tried searching for new cutscenes in both of the HD remixes but I can't find anything like your video. I want to see all the new cutscenes in both HD remixes since they usually offer more depth and story to the Kingdom Hearts series
