- 2018 was our last run up the Goodwood Hill in our now infamous 620R we call Lego Cat. 2022 saw us put the Seven 420 CUP through its paces with our very own Lee Bristow. Though not officially a timed run we couldn't help but see what we did. The car was run on Avon ZZS tyres (showboating mode activated) and was with a passenger, so hopefully, we will be back next year on ZZR tyres. For now though, enjoy...

Nice drive
Pretty damn quick for a passenger lap. Impressive, for sure. I definitely saw some time left on the track there though. Driver could have held it on the limit more in a couple turns but ... It's hard to say that with any confidence knowing how much these things snap around and clearly that could have been a problem if the driver had pushed it any harder. So it's always a little sketchy when you push these eh? I think that's why they're so fun.
I’ve never driven one, but I assume the faster they go, the more sketchy they get because of their weight and lack of aerodynamics. And who knows if they had soft racing tires or the generic one they use in the race series with deep treads.

@@kignacio The main effect that's noticeable (I've owned one for the road and track days, and another that I raced) is front end lift at speed. Above about 100mph you can really feel the front lifting and the steering doing less. Another big effect is carrying a passenger. Obviously this has a big effect on the power to weight ratio (an 80kg bloke in the passenger seat is nearly a sixth the weight of the car!), but the balance takes a beating too, because you sit almost over the rear wheels, so it makes a 7 understeer a lot.

You'd need to be an excellent driver to handle the 620. Even professionals find it tricky.
420 plus Sadev = more power than most humans can handle. Ask me how I know 😂. (Also Lee is not most humans)
