Thanks for sharing - you were having a great time and I enjoyed the drive. Disregard the armchair experts who almost certainly have never done anything like this. We're all on a learning curve and I think you're doing a great job! A few tweaks here and there and you'd certainly trim your times down but you already knew that. Cheers and thanks for the ride! Dave
Nice job! The more you know a course or track, the more you’ll push the envelope of skill vs car limits. As a new owner of a CSR 260, I’m equally balancing what I hope the car will do vs. what I know the car will do. Keep pushing!
Heel and toe is quite difficult in a Caterham. The peddle box is so tiny that avoiding multi-peddle contact under breaking is problematic to say the least.
@@MrHarleyoldfartYou absolutely do. If you don't, the driven wheels' speed will suddenly drop when you let the clutch out, compromising traction and unsettling the car. You can lock up the driven wheels if you let it out too quick. Rev matching also allows you to go down through the gears quicker, and having a lower gear selected gives better engine braking, so you reduce your braking distance a little too. Rev matching also still allows for smoother gear changes as the gear speeds will be closer, allowing for faster shifts. This works regardless of double-clutching or synchros. Synchromes boxes are for street driving, it makes basically no difference to how you should be driving when racing aside from no longer needing to double clutch.
Just checked the simulator site, And damn I could only dream of a rig like that you got on the site, I'm struggling to get enough money for a PC, I'm desperate to get a proper UA-cam channel up an running, Just my rig is not very good an I only got Assetto Corsa on the PS4, I feel robbed listening to people's advice saying to start sim racing on the cheap, When I started sim racing 2 years or so ago I had the money for a PC, But stupid me went down the cheap ass route with massive regret now I'm pretty good at sim racing, I'm actually not that far off the pro sim racers now, Only a handful of people keep with me on the Norshliefe on Assetto Corsa but that's the PlayStation, I bet there is far more competition for me on the PC, But again I can't afford it, Can't lie about it, I tried reaching out to few companies to help me create a proper UA-cam streaming channel, No luck tho, So I just got keep trying to save up or something, Suffering with CPTSD is massive barrier for me, Sim racing seems to help me put the triggers aside while I am sim racing, But I am honestly getting bored of Assetto Corsa on the PS4, No update for the Assetto Corsa Competizione either even tho the PS5 got extras, I ain't put ACC on since.... But yeah I want to improve more but the lobbies on Assetto Corsa is not letting me improve more, I put a few vids up of how I drive but I want to full on stream an be able to make proper videos, Can't even save a replay on the PS4 unless I delete everything so yeah I really do regret not buying a PC when I started sim racing..... Will be checking few more of these motorsport simulator vids, Got to respect a fellow sim racer even if I am only on a PS4, lol.... The sound on the catheram cars is an amazing sound, Aggressive like the car it's self..... How could you not want a car like this.....
The Caterham is one of the purest driving experiences. Half a tonne, rear wheel drive and no driver aids makes it a challenge to drive fast. I think the driver did a real good job. Like to see a video of you trying.

simulator? wow its got pretty good graphics :D !
Beautiful track and love that gearbox!
Im shocked there were no marshals on the course, if he'd have gone off it could of taken an hour to find the driver. 😮

Great control. Nice one!
Love those pops and bangs from the Caterham 7. Nice driving too. Go Czechia 🇨🇿
legit almost ran over that womans foot lmao
@King Brilliant come on, don't be so aggressive.
What suspension? Sport, track or race?
No HANS device?
Use these things a slipper clutch or somthing like in a motercycle? I dont see you revmatching when downshifting or isnt that nescesary?
He doesn't rev match because He hasn't learned heel&toe
if you know how to do it proper it can help a bit of locking the rear to enter better in a tight turn
It's a synchro box, you don't need to match the revs.

Is rev-matching really that hard for some people?!
Impressive, though i'd rather be in a Bac Mono

2.0 liter 240hp 6 manual gearbox
Great stuff ..
When I watch this video, I feel that I can run with counter steering, but it actually spins and ends.
Pffff thats fast🏎️
You should take the passenger seat out. It's cathing a huge amount of wind...
485!
I find it hard to believe that a professional driver would take the time out of their day to write youtube comments critiquing peoples driving Lol
Отпустите деваху с флажком покакать. За одно и звуковой гудок даст на старт.
That front heavy car really rotates in the uphill.

Not front heavy when the driver sits in it. The seat sits on the rear axle
He blows at shifting
Non sai fare il punta-tacco.
sry, but he drives it like a FWD.
what a bad pilot. ... it's not piloting. ..Just drive
Gentleman driver...Boring !
