- If Group B still existed today, this is how it would look..
In this one we are going flat out in Oliver Bennett's 600bhp Mini Cooper SX1. This pocket rocket is absolutely insane to drive.. far too much power for a narrow, windy track like this. As the title suggests, I would say this is probably the craziest run I've had in DR2.0 so far..
Again we are taking advantage of the awesome ACAT (Any Car Any Track) mod for this game available to download from Race Department.

Yeah agree, I just made the gear ratios longer but apart from that it was all default :)

Not a massive change but it definitely does look/sound better. Dirt Rally 1 is still a fantastic game though!

Driving skills! Hahaa. It’s a game for god sakes! You think you could put him in a real car and him do that? NOOOO! Take it from a race car driver. Driving skills are a gift ! Same as some people are artist! It can’t be taught! It’s about balance, coronation and reaction time. A game you feel nothing! You drive the corse enough your reflects will remember each curve. Lol. The world has lost common sense.

Anyone whose played it will tell you it’s not easy and does require quick reflexes and a lot of precision. And I’d like to hope I was a pretty experienced driver in real life too. But you are of course entitled to your opinion :)

Yeah a few, you really need to learn the track and know what speed/gear the car can handle in each section!
Can you try KPH in the speedometer?? AHAH i dont understand MPH :)
Haha I’m from UK so it’s MPH over here, but if the majority of people would prefer KPH then I don’t mind changing it :)

I do runs on the channel in cockpit too. People just tend to prefer watching 3rd person on YT to see/hear the car better. At the end of the day, it’s just a bit of fun 👍

It is 600 hp. You must turn the car higher gears.
It’s really not easy man, feel free to try and take the corners in higher gears in this car.. it’s tough!

@@Storm_RX Do you play this on PC, PS4, or PS5? i would assume under your description that it's PC? My graphics card, which I've displayed on my channel is a Geforce RTX 3060 so should handle it very well. Normally I play this on PS4.

Haven’t adjusted any settings in there, only in game settings :)
Is it faster than a rally car (Citroen C4 or whatever is fastest) on this stage? Because it certainly looks like it is, wow. Especially sharp turns and hairpins seem impossibly fast
Yeah it’s faster than pretty much any car in the game, ridiculous power especially low down in the rev range!

Do you use clutch?
If I’m driving h-pattern I would always, but you don’t need it when driving sequential. You might notice me kicking the clutch for some handbrake turns when driving sequential too but it’s just force of habit really 😆

It was a very good and fast run, but it is prettig annoying to watch how you downshift to fast and often to a too low gear. I know it’s fun to hear the car rev but it would be a lot smoother and even quicker if you would get the gears right
Thanks for the comment 👍 I think if you were to drive this car on this stage you would probably understand why I chose the lower gears at times. It’s just not possible to control the car round the tight corners in higher gears given the amount of acceleration/power it has. I did try believe me! I had also lengthened the gear ratios by a massive amount since the Rallycross cars have really short gear ratios as default, so essentially 2nd gear was almost acting like 3rd and so on.
@@Storm_RX Well, rust explains a lot! Thans you for the reply. Indeed i wouldn’t understand the handling of this car on a rally track, seems pretty difficult to me though. P.S. I would love to see you try and get a 600hp group B rallycross car across any stage. If i could give you a tip: Waldabstieg in Germany is really satisfying for cars that are difficult to handle but have a lot of horsepower. You should give it a try! Would love to see that!

Haha yeah I spent a fair amount of time just learning what gear I should be in at which part of the track, then I got a really good run but the footage was corrupted.. 😭 Honestly could’ve cried, but went back and tried again once I’d recovered 🤣
I like your videos a lot. But I can't imagine to drive in 3rd person... When I try to drive in 3rd person, I always crash... I like cockpit or hoodcam much more...
Thanks dude, appreciate it. So I get this a lot, but the main reason is for entertainment purposes as it seems the majority of people prefer to watch 3rd person on UA-cam. I do cockpit runs on the channel too as I know some people enjoy them, but they just never tend to do very well. So when a lot of effort goes into making the videos, it’s sometimes nice to see they are being watched by more people out there. Hope that makes sense and clears things up a bit! Again, thanks for the support, and I have another cockpit vid going up later today so feel free to give it a watch :)

How can you drive so fast. I'm second place in Poland Jagodno in the Rain with H2 FWD and 54 dry. It fells like I drive only in the second gear compared to you. Group B is unbelievable hard, my biggest respect for this.
One Question how can I get fast? Second of the World is not bad, but this what you are doing is a next level. What is your trick to do it on this level?
That’s awesome man, you are obviously very fast yourself! As you will know it really just takes practice and learning the stage, so you know how hard you can push at each part of the track. Of course it helps here that the car is ridiculously fast too (600bhp) 😅
