Its cool another utube farmer is so close to where I live. I was just down at the charleston speedway last night for their finale race. Hard to believe its harvest time already keep up with those good numbers.
I am glad to hear that. Staying ahead of your bean crop is always a good thing. Our crop looks to be above average for the most part. Thanks for watching!
Good to know your older sister still available. Lol! Seriously best crop farming channel Illinois Missouri Iowa I have found. Numbers will keep going up fella.
A better phrasing would be "our John Deere dealership's service is awesome". All colors have issues, depends on the managers. We had a green one that if they said a machine was through the shop, it meant they drove it in one door and out the other!
Had the same error code on our s670 in 2020 and let it go for the few weeks. Decided to have the new fuel pump installed before this season and his been fine now.
How about a handheld moisture tester Andy, to verify the combine tester. They’re fairly accurate once you get them calibrated.. Fun question, will Marty be wearing his red T-shirt to the wedding LOL
When my grandad was still alive, over 17 years ago now, I recall always having the moisture testers on hand. Possibly the combines didn't have them at that time? My dad has always wanted to go to the elevator to run the tests, and I don't argue. You are definitely right, though!
As of today at market close, the soybeans are worth $12.60 per bushel if sold when they arrive at the elevator. Commodity prices are very strong right now, especially compared to long-term averages.
We have ever since we switched to 15” row soybeans. They feed better at an angle, and it lets the cutter bar deteriorate evenly. It seems to work well. Thanks for the comment!
I do agree about the drying fees being somewhat necessary, but they were not drying quick enough to matter. If we get unlucky and have a load of 13% beans get probed for 16-17% somehow, that is an equally major loss for us. It is hard to flirt the line of perfection with soybeans. Thanks for the comment!
An unexpected Power shut down ...... Your combine isn't going to plug if the fuel pump goes out, I wouldn't be too worried. Your starting to sound like a discovery channel reality show lol " If this fuel pump quits while harvesting soybeans, it will cause the combine to plug which would mean HOURS of work to unplug and thousands of dollars in damage. That would cut into their short harvest window. Lets see if the trippy farmer can make it through the day avoiding a complete disaster and potentially millions of dollars lost. "
I appreciate your comment, but I disagree. There are times where I am a little exaggerated with my reactions; however, I only tell it how I see it, which isn’t always gospel. There is a fairly good chance that, if it happened to go out, the combine would be packed full of material, especially if you are already pushing the machine to its power limit. It isn’t guaranteed, nor is the failure of the pump. It was a couple thousand to replace the pump, which is never any fun. Thanks for watching!
@@aTrippyFarmer I was just messing around. But replacing anything during harvest is a pain. Glad it was just the pump and nothing else. I disagree with the power shut down though, you should be running your machine as you would if you were harvesting. I’ve done many shit downs on 680/780 machines pushing it hard with no problems. Have a great harvest season
I didn't give you a thumbs up nor a thumbs down my reason was your statement on John Deere service I beg to differ on that one nice beans we run beans 1 to 2% high threw the dry with just air blowing sim on them but on!y if we don't have the time for mother nature best of luck hope you have a safe and successful 2021 harvest!!!!!
That is fair. Maybe I should've been more specific: "the service that we get from our local John Deere dealership is the best." If they were going in our bins, we would start once they got under 16%. Thanks for commenting!

My brother-in-law races over there on occasion, but not as much as he used to. 32Z
Thank you for your videos
Glad you like them. Thank you for watching!
You better watch out talking about your sister's wedding day and cutting beans in the same breath. Haha! Great video. Looking forward to more harvest.
Ran out of dry beans switched to corn. Excellent yields.Northwest Iowa

Great video Andy, love the drone footage!
enjoy the video very informative
Thanks 👍
Absolutely KILLER drone footage! Well done! Being a grain cart driver in soybeans is boring. Hopefully chasing two combines kept you busy.
I have high standards for the drone work. It could be worse, just gotta play my role!
Great video. Thanks for sharing and farming
Yes it is vary true to have a good relationship with your dealer. I had case in tractors
That applies to all colors. Unfortunately, they all break down at some point!
I'm hoping first of the week we can start beans east Central Indiana
I think there will be a lot of beans cut next week if the rains hold off. This fall has already been so different than the last. Good luck!
@@aTrippyFarmer you are right good luck to you also
From India bro nice to see you doing farming
We are also farmers thanks for showing people value of food
It's my pleasure. Glad to have you here watching us work!

Great point. We have been spoiled here in Mattoon for so long. I have heard horror stories from all around....Deere dealers included.
Holy heck,dude.
These cinematic areal drone shots were mint!!
They really do give some extra touch to the vlog.
I have a very high standard for the drone stuff....It's a shame I can't just spend all day flying it 😁
Still knocking on wood as far as the waterway goes. Only 1.3 inches this time.🤞
I really enjoyed the drone footage! Very impressive 👍

1347.07 code kept going off on our 4730 John Deere sprayer John Deere kept throwing parts at it a set of injectors finally fixed it.

Yes yes mr trippy. Been wait for this one. Let’s get it brother. How $$$ do you sell one bushel of beans cost at the elevator

Nice to see "dad" willing to get on camera more!
He is usually evasive of the camera 🤣
I got a drone chasing me around
They are all used to the drone at this point!
Hi
Hello!!
Great drone footage, do you always cut beans on an angle?
We have ever since we switched to 15” row soybeans. They feed better at an angle, and it lets the cutter bar deteriorate evenly. It seems to work well. Thanks for the comment!
@@aTrippyFarmer Thanks for the reply! ILL!
🚜🚜🚜
✌
Why do you cut your beans at an angle instead of a straight line
Just wondering why you didn't go with the 740f head?
The 35' was what the boss wanted, and it was cheaper.
Did my like duty. No such thing as too much green and yellow pron
What, no farm moisture tester? Paying some drying fee must be better that hauling in 9% beans??
I do agree about the drying fees being somewhat necessary, but they were not drying quick enough to matter.
