The way Nolan said "Yo, make me." and holds his gun sideways... Now that's straight up perfect.
He said no make me
@@aidanmallinson5500 he says yo

He’s giving, ‘Hello, my fellow thugs’ energy right now.
He actually said KIND GENTLEMAN PLEASE RELEASE MY BELOVED FROM THE TROLLEY
The way Nolan held that gun and delivered his speech "No, make me"...that is not a Rookie but a true actor. I need season 3 NOW!!!

Really love the way Nolan held his gun like a thug and not a cop!
That's why he makes a good cop
I like that
Yes since he can play both sides
😂😂 it’s like if he was an actor
One of my favorite scenes. Nolan picks up everything. He was in character with no hesitation. And "That's my old man" like they've been doing this undercover thing together for years.
It even plays into her hesitation to go in the first place, a small touch that I appreciate
I don't think enough people are talking about how he used the residue from the floor of the van to dirty his clothing to add onto his rundown appearance and fit the part. That was such a good idea that its almost too good.
Actually Nylla Harper use that trick when she did undercover work on their first day riding together using the tires dirtying her clothes. I guess Nolan use a few of Harper own undercover tricks as his own.
He was copying Harper from earlier in the episode. He learns quick.
“I get it from you.” 😂🤣😂🤣
Kevin Thomas and she got no come back
@@ngflycloud the look on her face tells you everything as you can tell she's trying to think of a comeback but all she's getting is "Well damn, he's got me there."
@@DarkLordDiablos I love it when he does that too her. I love their dynamic now that he's not a Rookie, he can just be her friend, and it's been really cool to see Nolan stand his ground against his superiors a little more now that he's off probation, like stopping Lopez from chucking a guy in a woodchipper.
Her look was like "Touchè
Bro he looked to good like a actual junky to perfect
Cop: *Points gun*
Thief: "I'm not scared of you!"
Cop *Tilts gun sideways*
Thief:"Holy hell man I surrender!"
Means hes not trained, meaning accidental shots are possible. Someone who's trained knows when to shoot someone who's not is a scary thing indeed

Kill shot! That's a kill shot!
Date night: _"Thats a kill shot!"_
This was the episode where Nolan earned Harper's respect and trust really.
Like the fact how he dirtied himself with dirt on his shirt before going out there and the way he held himself and his gun like a thug. All of these techniques are vet status
I think the way he dirtied his shirt was like a throw back to the first time he met Nyla. When she took stuff from the wheel of her shop to make her look better.
I'm just wondering when the last time that van was swept.
Nolan took watch and learn seriously
Chenford level rewatch on this one❤😂
"Crystal, you told me to wait for you, where you goin'?!"😂😂
Nolan: "Hey Harper, can I hold my gun sideways all cool?"
Harper: "Whatever you want birthday boy!"
That look of "how dare you call me out! I'm proud of you."
I love this partnership, they have great work chemistry.
My favorite line from nolan so far: DUDE: Yo, Walk away. Nolan: Yo, make me.
I know right lol he is gonna end up being the best cop they did him dirty with that reprimand but i think tim or one of the to will get promoted and help him out like put in a good word for him with one of the bosses or someone like captain anderson will notice him if she didn’t die i think she wouldn’t have gave him a reprimand but if she was alive i think him and nyla would have went to her about armstrong
HAHA, Nolan being a Bad Ass. The TO is rubbing off on him.
and it goes vice versa as Nolan's traits rub off on her
He had to rescue Beckett a lot......that was good practice.
😂😂😂😂😂

harper's face at the end. 'that's my rookie!'
They are such a good team. I love it! Great writing.
Nathan nailed this.
That's quick thinking from Nolan 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
He did the gangster grip perfectly.
The way nolan really just said GIRL BYE
These 2 make a great team
Now that is a Veteran technique.
The way he held his gun like one if the thugs hidden his suspicion as an Officer.
Lmao when she said that's my old man.😂👏🏿
We miss Cayde-6. It isn't the same without you!
Nathan said he could come back as Cayde if Bungie plans to bring him back one way but I doubt but he did say he would play Cayde again
HE'S BACK
I’m really shocked he didn’t get laughed at/mocked by Harper for the sideways gun
If he held it right, it would be suspicious since thugs don't know how to use guns other than aim and shoot.
If Nolan held the pistol like a trained police officer, it would look really suspicious to the criminals. He held it like a gangster, which was perfect.
Good save, the way he did it was very smart as when he pulled out his gun and put the driver in a spot that if he tried anything funny he get a 9mm in him
C'mon you do realize that this is a tv show and not real life?!! In reality officer Nolan would have taken two bullets to the chest before he even had a chance to pull his gun from his back waist line. That ok let me wait and give you a chance to pull your gun out so we both can have our guns out and look at each other and look tough is straight up make believe!!
@@isiahwarner3087 Do you think standoffs with guns not happen
Isiah Warner You can pull your guns out quick enough if trained right, so if Nolan was trained with unholstering his glock quickly, that would mean he would be able to point it at his heart, so it’s not unrealistic no.
Ah yes the criminal is just going to shoot someone in broad daylight in the middle of the street despite just trying to threaten some junkies... i don't know what kind of boohoo ass world you live in guy
@@isiahwarner3087 ol dude flashed his gun without pointing it, showed he wasn’t really willing to use it to kill, just for intimidation
"Yo make me" .... Such bad ass
That was some good quick thinking with the dust or sand
Nolan: I get it from you.
Harper: 😮 but secretly 😏
"Old Man"
Nolan had some serious balls
Nolan is the best character
Let's not forget people. In the show he had a construction company for years. I would NOT be surprised one bit, if he or his crew did some shit to keep their work environments safe.
I dont think so i mean his whole reason for becoming a cop was the bank robbery he survived and he was scared distracting the robbers so i doubt that hes done stuff like that before.
He lived in rural Pennsylvania so its not like much crime happens there anyways
Wonder what that guy was thinking when Nolan held the gun.
“Holy shit, this dude is how old and he looks like a gangster? Oh, god. He must know all the secret gang techniques. I gotta get out of here!”
Beware old men in a profession where men generally die young. The look Nolan gave him plus his age, probably told the guy that the person infront of him was old in the gang lifestyle for a reason. It's best to not risk it and let it slide for now.
Ik its not required for criminals but what are the odds of a long time gangbanger not having any tattoos. I mean even just standard criminals usually have one or two
@@callmecalamitylook it it from the pov of a young gangbanger surviving multiple risks on his life in his first few months in the gang.
He probably saw it as a omen that getting tattoos that were easily hidden would be a good thing should he survive to mild age.
Like how the Yakuza get the body tattoos done but leave enough space on their front to allow them to wear their shirts open without revealing them.
Well, Nolan pointed his gun directly at the center mass of the suspect upon being threatened with a gun by the the suspect. Nolan only needs to pull the trigger if the suspect tries anything, unlike the suspect wherein he still needs to aim then shoot which might take a split second but by that time, Nolan may have already pulled the trigger and hit the suspect with around 2 or 3 bullets.
Never knew an ODST could go undercover
The tilt got me!
Nathan fillion is just so handsome

Everyone talking about how he made his clothes dirty or held his gun sideways. Im more impressed that he fed Harper a line she could play on/established that his cover knew her. Without him saying Crystal she wouldnt have known how to play off the situation 0:50
im to addicted to the rookie ;-;'
Bad ass
Yow Nolan ain't no rookie he's done this before
And this scene proves it
Yo walk away
Yo make me 😂🤣😂😊
Uh that’s my old man
Me: that’s a good excuse
There is one issue I have that comes more from me not knowing. Do police not recieve standard issued firearms that would be easily recognized as such by a high ranking criminal?
not necessarily, the gun coudl have been stolen, pawned by a corrupt/junkie cop(which happens in an episode as well), or hell bought it from a gun show/arms dealer, or hell even buying it normally(unusual for a junkie)...because cops use it because its both reliable and easy to obtain, many people could have the same model, its the rifling that matters really
What season and episode
I can see why that had him play cayde-6

The bad guys 1911 wasn’t cocked
Single action only is pretty useless when the hammer isn’t cocked
Maybe that's why the camera focused on it and Nolan it gave Nolan the confidence to draw his own
Just the sight of a gun is enough to scare most people off. Also it takes less than 1 sec to cock it and fire if you really need.
He also was not expecting Nolan to pull his own piece and call his challenge. Which gave him enough pause to back down.
yo where can i find this series or film or what it is

HOLY SHIT IS THAT ROBIN FROM CHICAGO MED?
That was brilliant. Not breaking her cover by acting like a jealous boyfriend. :D
Not a boyfriend, her dad
@@anthonyjaccard3694 in this case "my oldman" meaning is "my boyfriend - daddy"
@@Niver0 OK. English is not my first language so I might have misunderstood. Is it really something people say? Sounds weird calling your boyfriend the same way some people call their father
@@anthonyjaccard3694 It's American English. Same as "old lady" being girlfriend. English English old man is indeed Farther.
@@anthonyjaccard3694 It 'can' mean father in American Slang, but in this context it means"Boyfriend" or "Baby Daddy " aka the father of your illegitimate kid(s). In this context it would be WEIRD for her father to be dragging her from the car, so it makes sense that he is playing a jealous boyfriend. Also the quip by the villain about "old is right" is a direct insult to the fact that she has boyfriend who seems too old to date her ;) LOL
What episode is this?
He lost one partner. Nolan is not letting that happen again.
Episode?
Which ep
1:01 the subtitles are wrong (it’s no, not yo).
"Yo, make me" - in response to the "Yo, walk away". Subs are right.
Watch his mouth. It's YO, not NO.
I see you come because
There was no platonic chemistry between Nolan and Tallia but with Harper and Nolan there is so much platonic chemistry they are meant to be partners not TO & boot
While it's no secret the reason that Bishop's actress left the show, it wouldn't surprise me if the lack of chemistry between them was also a factor considering how quickly Nolan and Harper clicked.
He's the Yin to her Yang with them each learning from each other.
@@DarkLordDiablos so true

Nathan needs to leave the show urgently. His character in the fifth season becomes more and more boring. While not quite an old man, you can find something more interesting.

"yo, make me" PLEASE tell me I'm not the only one to replay this scene because he's so hot?????
You got a dear wish boo
I get it from you ❤
This might sound stupid but when she said "old man", was it in the sense of "that's my dad" or "that's my man......who's old."? LOL
Old man or old lady are slang terms for a boyfriend or girlfriend, and it can also be used for spouses. Old lady is also use in Motorcycle Clubs for the wife or girlfriend of a patched member. That's what I assume they meant, though it can mean father as well, but considering he reacted to him being "old" it probably was not intended to mean father.
