I can tell you what is depressing... being poor and not being able to afford a horse. The horses were my therapy and escape... without that, life is void of any quality. You have a nice horse there that needs you.... you'll be fine.
I can relate. I had my horse & donkey for 10 years. That was a long time ago. When I got her it was like that empty place inside of me had finally found the missing piece. Now I'm 63. I realise the best time of my life has come & gone. Just waiting....

Maybe after I die, they'll be a horse for me wherever it is I go OR I could always win the lottery and that's probably my best chance of ever riding or touching a horse ever again. Poor people don't get those opportunities.
Your faith is incredible ,we all feel this way. I thought I was fearless faced many things in life death seemed to be a present danger ! But I was in fear of the basic things in life we count on that can be lost ! I feared not being valued ! However I need to value me 1st ! 🙏🏼 let thank god for all we have ! I’m not religious but I think anyone who has been on a healing journey can relate to struggling to believe how strong we truly are, no matter where that strength comes from. You’ve done a wonderful thing for this sweet girl, and the fact that she trusts you so much to guide her through her fear demonstrates how well you listen to her and hold space for her feelings😊
Fear is also fear of the fear…It is hard to look beyond it and say whats the worst that can happen…I have learned to trust in that thought when fears rears up and it is amazing how quickly you can learn to deal with the fears…
My uncle ran a market garden in North Wales, UK back in the 1940s and 50s he used plough horses to till the soil, pull the carts at harvest and mow grass edges. He always carried a hooked stick that he told me he never hit any of the animals with. It was just to make his arm longer for picking up things, for blocking a gateway or hooking a gate closed or open. On a visit there was a new Fergusson tractor in the barn and suddenly I was very sad, we lived in London and dairies delivered fresh milk each day, they used a milk float pulled by a dray horse. To modernize the company bought battery powered floats that were recharged overnight and were faster while driving to the route. But the roundsmen soon found they had to walk a lot more, to move the cart up. Before they would take a carrier of 12 bottles and walk the street dropping them of 0ne, two at a time the horse would catch them up so they could refill. Customers loved them for the rose fertilizer they delivered. Sadly they were all sold for horse meat. But this was not the case of uncles horses, they were put on light duties and one was mowing the orchard but care had to be taken they didn't eat too many apples and pears. When they did pass a grave was dug and a new fruit tree planted, so they were never forgotten.
Oh..she made it throug..no more standing in the storm together..Maybe she doesn't want to stay yet, but went in voluntarily by you on her side. You have made such a progress together. 🎉 You found eachother for a reason.
