My 7-year-old bought a Freddy costume weeks ago and it still hasn't moved. Delivery just keeps getting postponed and he's BUMMED! Googled DIY Freddy costumes and you're tutorial came up! Thank you. Not confident mine will turn out anything like yours, but I'm excited to try for him.
I'm so sorry to hear that! Hopefully this helps!
wow ur the best mom ever haha
also where did u buy it from?

Thank you so much! The support means a lot!
Amazing! I’m going shopping for supplies tomorrow to make a golden freddy cosplay for Halloween and this will definitely help!
Awesome!! Glad I can help!
@@AyeJayDeeDIY by the way, I have a question. What kind of math did you do to make the dome shape? I’m not really the best at math so it would really help to know
Measure how long the foam sheet is. Divide that number by a high number like 7-10. Say the foam sheet is 32 inches long, divide it by 8 so you get 4. 8 is the number of triangles, and 4 is how many inches the bottom of the triangle is. I usually make the height about 3.5 inches tall. Mark a line at the midway point of the 4 inch base on the triangle (2 inches) and draw a line straight up 3.5 inches. Then just use a straight edge/ruler to connect it from the top middle to the bottom sides. Hope this helps 😁
@@AyeJayDeeDIY thanks!

This is so helpful my man! Despite making a bonnie head you were able to teach me how to make the foam base!
Glad I can help! And thank you!
How exactly do you make the triangles for the dome? Like how do you figure out the height/width of each triangle

Makes it more durable and so it's close to the real size
Thank you very much!🙏😊 I would try to make it so good as possible.
Thank you 🙏 😂
I was creating my own Mr. Rod mask
Am i able to make this with EVA foam? I'm worried because I already bought a roll and theres only like 20 days before Halloween. Also, I don't have fabric or a sewing machine, so could I just use paint?
It's entirely up to you lol. I'm just showing how I made it, you don't have to follow it exactly.
Alr, thanks for the words of encouragement! Also, I think you make some awesome FNaF costumes, so you've earned a sub! Can't wait to see what your next costume will be! Also, happy spooky month! 😁

@@AyeJayDeeDIY Omg thank you so much! I’ll turn the comments on lol. 😅👍🏻
Hey idk if you’re gonna see this but when I like draw the face on how high should it be on my head like should my nose be showing or just my mouth
For me, I have it so my eyes can see out the eye holes, which ends up lining everything up. The muzzle will hide your nose and you need your mouth/chin to be exposed to use the jaw
@@AyeJayDeeDIY ok thank you

@@AyeJayDeeDIY Thanks
What materials and tools did you use to make Freddy's head???
can u list the items that you used?
im not able to see them if u listed any
Please look in the description of the full tutorial
Just one more question how many rolls of foam did u use in the spring lock costume for the whole thing
For the Springtrap costume? I think I bought about 3 rolls but still had some left over
@@AyeJayDeeDIY ok thank you so much this really helped a ton thx
Hi could you give me a precise list of elements to compose the mask? Thanks in advance
What? Lol. You mean like a list of materials? If so, go to the description of the full head tutorial
@@AyeJayDeeDIY Many thanks to you from France
i have a question: what are the measures and quantity of the foam that you used??
Sizes vary because everyone's head is a different size. If you see in the beginning of the video, I wrapped the foam around my head to get a comfortable fit; not too tight and not too loose. I only used measurements for the triangles on top to make the foam into a dome shape, and that was by finding the width of the foam, dividing it by a number from 7-10, which would get the width of each triangle. 😁
@@AyeJayDeeDIYthank you!
@@Ghost-vi9nz of course!
this is a great tutorial! What foam did you use for this? I'm making a freddy cosplay for my school's book month!
Fairfield 1 inch thick project foam 😁
@@AyeJayDeeDIY thanks! how about with the cloth? What type of cloth
Hey! Where i can buy the foam in the internet? Nobody in my city sell the foam and im really excited to do this mask
If you got to the last Freddy tutorial, the full head tutorial, there is a material list in there. You could probably get it on Amazon, but I'm not sure. It's called Fairfield 1 inch thick project foam. Feel free to research to see where you can find it lol
is this all from the same pack of foam? (the 24x72x1 pack)
Yes
Is the material you use styrofoam foam? I don't understand what you are using (my english is bad..)
Fairfield 1 inch thick project foam
Whats the material to make the Freddy head ???

I have a question do you use the .5 thick foam or the one inch
1 inch thick
Idk if I should be asking but how much did this cost? I really want one for my own but I don’t know how much I have to spend.
I spent around $35
can you make one with cardboard? is not how much did this co$t to make?
I don't recommend using cardboard at all for masks like these. Cardboard wears down and isn't as durable. The total cost for this was about $35
The cat running through the window
That's a dog not a cat 😭
I’m making one out of paper, cardboard and paint
Nicee
Hey I’m making a head rn following these instructions and you didn’t really cover how to do the cheeks, also there’s some sort of dip on the sides for what I’m guessing is where the jaw goes, could you clarify how to do that part pls?
Yes I did haha. I showed it at 1:43. And the dip is really simple, just use scissors to cut a dip shape out
@@AyeJayDeeDIY oh alright, don’t know how I missed that with how many times I’ve watched it 😅 thanks anyway!
How many layers of foam did you use for i cheeks?
Two
Pls respond : this is incredible and I want to make one to but I’m having trouble finding the foam online so if u can pls tell me how much it is per roll and what the website or company is called that would be great thanks
Look in the description of the full Freddy head tutorial. It's got a list with links of all the materials
@@AyeJayDeeDIY thanks soo much man looks amazing btw
🙏
I’m gonna try to make this because the costumes on Amazon are not very good
Awesome!
What kind of foam is that
Fairfield 1 inch thick project foam
In my opinion it's a bit too fast I'd like it if you would slow it down. Other than It's good 👍
The good thing is you can pause, rewind, and change the playback speed 👍
I decided to bite the bullet and make my own Freddy suit for a convention next year but I completely forgot about the dome part so I just have a cylinder (that’s already been cut down) which is open on both ends and not enough space to cut triangles in, are there any alternatives I can use?
You can hot glue and stack a couple pieces of foam on top of each other and cut and trim them down to a dome shape
@@AyeJayDeeDIY awesome I’ll give that a go thank you =}
I don't know if anyone can answer this question but was the math equation for the triangles to close up the head
Measure how long the foam sheet is. Divide that number by a high number like 7-10. Say the foam sheet is 32 inches long, divide it by 8 so you get 4. 8 is the number of triangles, and 4 is how many inches the bottom of the triangle is. Then just use a straight edge/ruler to connect it from the top middle to the bottom sides. Hope this helps 😁
I’m making a spring Bonnie costume for Halloween and I have no materials yet wish me luck 😅
Hope it works out 🙏
Same with me😂
What inch foam did you use?
I used 1 inch foam, but did two layers of it. Depending on the size of your head, or mask you want, you can do 1 or even 3
@@AyeJayDeeDIY awesome this is gonna be my first time working with foam. I’ll let you know how it goes!! Thanks for inspiring
@@Stluciifer Thank you so much, I'm glad I can inspire people! And that's awesome! You'll have to show me when you're done! You're going to do great
What materials do I use?
Look in the description of the full tutorial
How much was all of it
About $35 in total. The price may vary based on where you live or what's available. I used a lot of discounts, went to thrift stores, and used stuff from around the house to make it as inexpensive as possible
@@AyeJayDeeDIY great! I found a few websites
Did you line the eyes up with your eyes when sketching?
Yep!
Pls make Bonnie😢😢😢😢
I already did lol. Check out my channel.
That is amazing! How long did it take you to make the entire head?
Thank you! It took me about 20 hours total in a span of a few days 😁
How did you make the cheeks
And by the way great video

Hey bud would u be interested in selling these as I dont have the craftsman ship to make these myself. If your interested is there anyway I could get into contact with you?
