Very interesting that you mention the growth being slower on the cascade. I have a similar situation with two Chinese elms. On was made into a twisted upright and grows like a topical elm, wild!. The cascade was wired harder and does not produce a lot of foliage yet. The wire will be due to come off early spring, once that does the change in growth should be noticeable. Really enjoying your vids. Great work😊
Ah, interesting that you've noticed something so similar😊 My cascade must be two to three weeks behind the upright xx I'm so pleased you're enjoying my video xx
I love the colour of the fresh larch shoots it's funny seeing yours just popping out as my one down here in NZ is going golden yellow , do you have a Japanese larch they're really cool .
your ones looked like Larix decidua / European larch to me not Japanese larch , I may be wrong tho , I have both varietys and they are quite different the Jap larch has big flat soft needles and the euro has little spikey ones , I should go back and watch a video of your ones in full needle just to make sure lol .🌲xo
Hi there, I can't make personal recommendations I'm afraid, but I understand bonsaitree.ca is a large bonsai nursery. Art's Nursery also seems to have a wide variety www.artsnursery.com/catalog/larch I'll bet you can also get starter trees on Ebay fairly inexpensively. Good luck with your search xx
