Great Show! hope the series continues! To bad not enough companies are suppling the demand for reproduction parts both stock and replacement, heads,pipe,swingarms!-Huge demand!
Wards works 125 ,johnsons yellow 84 250 title bike and Chickens WORKS JAPAN bike- chicken said with that bike he could win anything and you have them all- i would love to be able to ride those bikes especially on the hangown Hugh I bet you have so much memory of Carlsbad and saddleback id like to hear your racing those cali tracks cool
I hate to be a spoiler...but Hugh Parker did not take that picture of Ward's bike at Hollister Hills. I actually took the picture back when I was 17 yrs old in the pits at the '84 RedBud pro national with my Pentax K1000 35mm camera. I was a huge Wardy fan and took other pics of him that day during the races and have posted a few of them on VitalMX. Mr. Parker is very Blessed to own that amazing piece of MX history.
What book are they referring to near the end? I don't remember Jobe riding for Kawasaki. Saw him on a factory Suzuki early in his career at Unadilla 250 GP a long time ago. RIP
Jobe wanted to ride the 500 class as he achieved his goal of being 250 world champ, however as Suzuki dropped their 500 after Brad Lackey's world championship victory in 1984. Jobe had no other choice at Suzuki but to go elsewhere, Kawasaki picked him up to chase for the premier title. Georges achieved runner-up in the 500 title in his second year at Kawasaki (1986).
Wicked cool. Hats off to Hugh for preserving these mythical steeds; they deserve to be remembered.

Rick's shop is just down the street from my parents house. He does a great job of brining those bikes back to life.

I have a photo I took of Ward on the 84 bike at the Gainesville National. I'd like to share with Hugh. How can I get in touch with him?
Rick created the half waffle grips, on that yellow Yamaha bike!! If you notice that he cut half the waffle off in this video you can see that!!
Yes and pro circuit, he put on the map, he added so much detail to this sport.
Nice! I sure hope you guys are going to visit Terry Goode!!!!

That is what hit me like a brick. Good god, one in a million that he could be his twin brother and ended up owning his 1984 125! Pretty cool!!1
