The Mathews Z7 Magnum gives those archers that loved all the aspects of the 2010 Z7 a very similar bow, but with more speed. The Z7 Magnum features the familiar Grid Lock Riser, ZX Cam (Z7 Cam) and Mathews silencing package. The major difference between the two bows is the additional 7 fps that is possible out of the Magnum due to a shorter brace height and 2 inches of additional axle to axle length. With am IBO speed of 340 fps, the Magnum delivers outstanding performance for a single cam speed bow with a shootable brace height of 6 3/8".
The Z7 Magnum is the fastest single cam bow in Mathew's 2011 fleet. With a fast but very shootable ZX Single Cam, a comfortable grip, and parallel limb design, the Magnum could be shot well by any archer who has a little experience. Being extremely quiet and vibration free when shot only with the standard accessories provided by the manufacturer, it is amazing that this single cam can produce such speed and yet be that smooth and that quiet. Retailing $999.00, the Z7 Magnum is in the realm of the market price for high end performance bows, but may be out of reach for some archers.

This video is incredible timing. Last year I built my dad a Z7 Magnum, re built it completely and Sunday he passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 53... I will be hunting with the bow I built him from here on out even though I have a vxr and a traverse, just to pay tribute to the experiences and memories we shared together in the woods.
Sorry for your loss brother. God bless you and your family. You can take away the fact that you were there for your father and now you can honor him.

I wish Mathews would make a solo cam now . That bow is one of the best looking bows made

I put in for a raffle about $150 when I of course lost I saved up and bought one. Great bow and it had filled the freezer with elk for me. I will have to look for one later to buy another one here some day

Really good video. I have a V 31, MQ 1, and a Z7 Magnum. All three great bows. Think I might sell the V 31 though as it is not as fast as the Magnum with the same arrow and draw weight.
I had a z7. It was a great bow!
Just picked up a Z7 Magnum for $280 from original owner. Had to put a sight and rest on and it’s being tuned up now. Very excited to shoot.
I just completed a full rebuild on my z7 still shoots amazing stays right in their with my v3 31

Doing all the research I can on this bow. I just got my hands on my buddies that he’s letting me shoot and this is my first Mathew’s to ever shoot. I’m really enjoying shooting it. Can’t wait to put a deer down with it this fall!
2013 was the prime year for compound bows, they were absolutely at their peak back then. i feel all brands have gone downhill since, slower, heavier.

That's what stinks is the fact that even though they made some products that are better then today's. No bow company's keep them around because human nature always needs something new and exciting. Obsession with their 14 and 15 Evo and Phoenix were their best bows to date. Darton solo cam specter was an amazing shooting bow. I kept mine but the fact is if something ever happens I my chances of replacing it are slim. 🤷♂️
They should take all the best stuff from the old models and make a discount price throwback mathews solid limb bow these things are timeless like rock and roll songs

i am serching for the magnum now , the extra 2 inches on the ATA may be better ,dunno , but my regular z7 is awesome , if you set them up with all the modern tech ,sight, rest ,and stabilizers ,you will have a semi fast ,very smooth tact driver ,ill go up against anyone with modern bows ,its still that good !

The z7 came out In 2010 the z7 magnum which is what you are holding came out in 2011.
I just can’t bring myself to replace my z7 extreme with anything newer.
V3 is louder not much but it’s noticeable

I bought a used z7 extreme in January 2021. That fall I killed my 3rd archery deer, on public. I love this bow. Had a creed prior to and loved it also but had to sell it for the funds.

I liked the Geo-Grid on the Chill & Creed bows... The Z design just looks stupid to me. Ha
I had the extreme it was a great shooting bow but I just never felt very stable with my aim even loaded up with weight. Killed a lot of deer with that bow though and still have it hanging in the garage. Always been a big fan of the single cam bows but today’s technology on the bows make them super easy to tune.
Idk why compared to other bows I’ve had my z7 just seems to thump the target so much harder
