I'm so glad you acquired this piece of history.. you will get many many hours of pleasure from just tinkering with it. congrats again. I'm genuinely happy for you m'friend! :)
You buying this makes me want to get on with my dexta, unfortunately I haven't the time at the moment, next job on mine is welding up the wings. that I actually bought from a fellow you tuber, I was searching for these particular wing for 5 years and eventually with the wonders of UA-cam I found them. I shall try to get a vid up soon. Keep your vid coming I'm enjoying them thanks.
Thanks, I'll try to. Yes finding parts/panels for these is getting harder by the day. Just make some vids of what you've got so far. Would be interesting :)
Tractor seems to be getting a 'fan club' lol. Yeah fixin' it is fun, if you've your own shed and tools. Only good bit I've a couple of strong young lads to do the occasional pulling about. Also, bought some spanners when I was 17. Not even picked them up for over 30 years so thought I'd make something with them. Of course, now I need them. Always the way eh!
Thanks - basically it is a good tractor, but you're right to wonder about people like that. Should have known when I saw the exhaust was the wrong way round. Rusted in and not had a chance to free it yet. Nice chap, asked him if the brakes worked and he said yes. They do shuffling back and forwards, but if you've seen the first video, couldn't stop it coming off the truck when I unloaded it. If I'd known I would have had it in reverse with the stop pulled out. Maybe he meant the pedal goes up and down lol.
By the sounds of things she's looking to be pretty sound ,,, there's bound to be a list of odd jobs with bodged repairs over the years ,,, I bet you feel ten years younger and enjoying her ,,, (The Tractor)
That's the plan :) Not quite time yet though. Trying to sort the charging out....wiring a complete mess. Not starting from scratch, but think I'm going to have to put new terminals on most of it. Also got to check brakes, then make a box. Don't think I'll be bored for the next few weeks lol.
Not on this one. I want to run it a bit, go to a show or two but do nothing that someone after me can't put back to original if they want. Basic tractor is sound.

Thanks Ken - actually something I've always wanted.....plus I can now take my own classic to local shows. Thanks again mate.

You'll have some fun with her, I mean the tractor :) It's amazing what you can do with two pence :) Looks like you've got it sussed out.
Ha ha - yes getting it sussed...few jobs left then make the box to take my junk with me.
Great job Malc and going to be a hit at the next show;
Cheers, got to phone to see if I can get a booking today. Think it's going to only be the car park at the steam rally, that's if it's dry.

Next video uploaded in a few mins....yes finding a few issues, but nothing major. Runs really sweet.
Right bird puller that old Nuffield of yours.Or is it the aftershave lotion
It's popular when I'm out on it.
Forget the Ferraris and Astons, discriminating women prefer classic tractors - good for them!
Nice machine!
Goodjob
Well time to put a basket on it and go shopping for food at tescos

+MalcOfLincoln XD while your working on it you should put a turbo on from a truck :D unless you want it to be original
Not on this one. I want to run it a bit, go to a show or two but do nothing that someone after me can't put back to original if they want. Basic tractor is sound.
+MalcOfLincoln okay also is it a show tractor a work tractor and a car tractor ?
Yes, spot on :) Should get videos of at least one show....trip to Tesco, and if I can find someone with an implement, plough or drag show it working.
