Crystal could you not put the left over soap in small silicone shaped molds to sell as samples, party favors, hostess soaps, etc rather than putting it in the garbage? I see it is not a lot each batch but you make many batches & they would add up. It would further help to offset the cost of your supplies. You could sell them in bags of 5 or other multiples. You work very hard for your beautiful soaps & it’s kind of like money going in the garbage. Love your channel. It is the best goat & soap making channel on UA-cam!
That. And after scraping out all the soap into a mold, what is left will be enough soap the next day to just need hot water to clean itself.

That leftover soap could be scraped out and be another bar for family use!
You could pour the soap in a small bowl and make soap balls for personal use. I like to do this because they fit my small hands better. I also use beeswax in my soap which also makes a firmer, longer lasting bar.

I have seen one soap maker use little mini muffin size to put any of the leftover soap into. Then the mini muffins can be sent as free samples or placed in a 'mixed bag' and sold as little powder room individual soaps. This way nothing is wasted.
Crystal you a such a sweet and loving hard working lady with gorgeous golden locks of hair. Have you come up with a recipe for shampoo without lye? That’s too much with the bottles huh? Just thinking of some ideas. My birthdays’ coming up so I think I’ll order me some sweet and wonderful soap. ✨💖✨

I LOVE IT!!! Suggestion: I keep Spray bottle of 1/2 Vinegar 1/2 Water....after rinsing anything, I spray & rinse once more....just an extra thing to do to get rid of any residue that may linger that you can't see.....I started doing it 35 yrs ago when my daughters were born....one day I smelled the bottle and could smell some soap also and was horrified so I've used a V&W Spray ever since😅

Hi Crystal, is there a specific reason for choosing one method or the other (ie milk in oil)?
I've tried both methods with my soaps and the method that turned out the better product is the method I use per different soap.
May I ask how you add the milk into soapcalc when doing the milk in oil method? This stumps me. Is it just considered an additive like the oats or honey? Does it mess with the lye calculation?

It will substitute for water.

Couldn't you put the extra soap into small silicone molds to make single use bars? I hate waste! Lol
I think the leftover soap that was in the container I would’ve put in something and saved it for myself instead of wasting it into the trash, but that’s just my opinion
