“People often greatly underestimate how much I will inconvenience myself to prove a point.” - Taylor Swift Deuxmoi better be having nightmare anxiety shits rn
It really is such a privilege to be able to greatly inconvenience yourself just to make a point, isn’t it? Although, I bet being inconvenienced looks a bit different for Miss Swift than literally anyone else, including Deuxmoi. For instance, Taylor doesn’t have to take off work, missing hours of pay to meet w a lawyer. She won’t have to buy less food for the next few months to pay for legal help, or worry about if it’s worth investing all that money and effort should her point NOT be made, as most women experience all the time. CRJ major here! Deuxmoi hung herself the second she said “I apologize to Taylor.” Any response with an apology would be directly claiming accountability for what was said. Which if/when this goes to trial, will ABSOLUTELY be used against them! Also, one of the other blind items sent in that night claimed that Jason Kelce (Travis’ brother) was cheating on his wife during away games. My guess is that’s one of the ones that pissed off Taylor, in a sort of “Idgaf what you say about me, but leave my boyfriend’s family out of it!”
Deuxmoi makes both TMZ and even Perez Hilton look *RESPECTABLE* in comparison. This considering how low TMZ can go at times. Whoever runs Deuxmoi better do an apology really fast before they are literally sued out of existence.
@@aaliyahfoster2705 Deuxmoi is trying to _stir the pot_ . Swift's legal team at 13 Productions is going to just about bonk Deuxmoi over the head with that stirring stick. 🤭
The danger with sites like Deuxmoi is that if one thing is true, then that allows people to believe others are true as well. What they posted about Taylor (the other thing they posted) is awful and even if it were true it’s absolutely heinous to post that.
Yes, exactly! That’s actually why I think Tree chose to go after this post because it’s bad enough without putting a spotlight on the other post (which is a whole other layer of messed up). I think anyone would find the speculation over that to be very painful and traumatic whether true or not. I know there are so many wild conspiracies and theories in the fandom, but it’s really weird for deux moi to say she’s gonna die on this hill about someone she doesn’t even know. The fan theories are one thing and can be fun to be part of with the Easter eggs and stuff, but these kinds of posts aren’t like that and they’re very invasive, damaging, and traumatic. I hope they bring her down over this.
At first it seemed odd to me that Tree would go after Deuxmoi for such a random gossip. The relationship with the heirloom turkey is dead and gone and buried, so who cares anyway? My guess is that the real hurtful and traumatizing gossip was the previous one. It was probably the straw that broke the camel's back but Taylor/Tree could not come after them without bringing light on such hideous gossip, because whether it is true or not, it is nobody's business but hers. Unleashing onto the next lie was a smart way to end Deuxmoi and keep hurtful gossip in the closet.
I love how specific and detail oriented you are in the topics that you explain/argue. Been here for a long time, love seeing more people watch your videos, I think social media needs more people like you, who expand pop and entertainment topics into a more analytic way. Deuxmoi kinda digged their own grave with this Tree war. Nobody who wants to work with Taylor ever again won´t work with Deuxmoi ever again after learning Taylor doesn´t like her. No Ryan Seacrest, no magazines, no publications, nobody who wants to keep good relationship with Taylor. I think Taylor learned a couple lessons after what happened last time so she wouldn´t go to this war unless she was sure it´ll cause more good than bad. If that idiot doesn´t learn her lesson i´m sure Taylor will make sure she´ll regret ever messing with her. I honestly wouldn´t be surprised if more celebrities started calling out that idiot now after Taylor and Tree did it.
My goodness! I'm not at all a swiftie but I absolutely love how you analyze situations and even more so, the way you present them. So incredibly well-spoken. I come here to take notes.
Honestly I don't trust anyone that participates in this sort of celebrity gossip culture. I get we all do it to some extent (like me when I'm listening to zach fix the jover timeline) but being so obsessed over celebrities and also just posting random shit...??? Hobbies! Jobs! Friends! I'm also here for you getting sponsors 100%!!
@maeby3258, Thank you for your post. I don't understand why parasocial relationships are so huge. It's like those who are proud to "stan", a celeb. As in why would you want to call yourself a "stalker fanatic", boggles my mind. Especially when there are so many more important things in the world. As regards this channel...I am surprised to learn about the content creator is a journalist. Anyway, I hope you're having a good weekend.
I REALLY appreciate that you didn’t repeat the rumors that you (and I) think are the ones that really got Tree and Taylor upset enough to go after Duexmoi. I hope whatever idiot runs that account watches this video to see what journalistic integrity looks like.
I personally think it's nothing more than a sketchy bottom feeding person who hides behind their stance that they are only reposting gossip. They dont verify that any info that's sent to them is true, so Im surprised there havent been lawsuits already. Their response to Tree was aggressive and nasty, and I think it will come back to bite them. Tree's response was essentially a warning that if they keep it up, there will be consequenses.
Because a lot of the things they post are actually true. I don't know how familiar you are with deux moi but they have like a two parts of the account, they have a day when they say "Im posting this but is not verified, take this with a grain of salt or for comedy only" and the rest of the days she posts blinds that are verified (mostly), sometimes is because multiple people send the same thing so the chance to be true is high, sometimes because they send proof, and other times because it's other famous people (that she can't reveal who it is because she will lose the source) the fact that a lot of blinds were actually true gave her a lot of credibility even if some are wrong. The question here is : does she have proof that it happened or not? She's not a dumb person like they made her sound, she took a Instagram page that was a style blog and transformed that in a very successful business and even a new series on TV, so I'm really divided because I don't think she would insist in something like this with a mega star publicist if she didn't have any proof, at the same time If I was taylor publicity I would never do something like this without having sure this really didn't happen because it would be an awful image to me and my client...
@@ClaraClaiyer the women who run Deuxmoi have posted a lot of fake stories too and I do not think they are exactly the brightest individuals. People have mentioned they have been called out before for false stories and instead of admitting they were wrong, they would say something like "oh well, I didn't mean it that way". At the end of the day, they post items that literally anyone can submit. It wouldn't be hard for anyone to submit a false item and maybe even make it look somewhat convincing. They post so many stories a day, I highly doubt they are fact checking everything throughly. And at first, they kept claiming REPEATEDLY that Taylor and Joe were married. They only backtracked recently and said they had a ceremony that seemed like a wedding (which doesn't even make any sense). And like you said, Taylor and her team would not go after them unless what they are saying is definitely false. I'm sure Taylor has said to her publicist that what was being posted about her never happened. Therefore, I believe Taylor (and her team) rather than a silly little gossip site.
@ClaraClaiyer I am familiar. As someone who has worked in the Journalism field since 1998, i can tell you that you can't just go by random people giving tips (who claim it happened) as "evidence." There had better be some photographs and a paper trail or you can be held libel. Swift's team is powerful, and with her ample resources, she could quite literally sue them into poverty. They should be scared.

You are one of my favorite people to listen to, period. Your ability to speak so eloquently with the perfect amount of sass and snark peppered in is so engaging, and I always learn from you. I’ll be very curious to see how this Deuxmoi saga evolves. I’m certainly not sad to see it go, but in this age, unsubstantiated gossip is like Hydra, there’s always going to be a head to replace the last one.
i‘m having so much fun this week, first we get you‘re losing me, then we get the rasin story, now deuxmoi is getting annihaltated, what a fantastic chaos to witness
Deuxmoi is literal garbage, and I'm sure while some celebrities probably engage with her to put out certain blinds that they want, most despise her. Taylor publicly calling them out could trigger everyone else who hates deuxmoi (of which there are PLENTY) to get behind it to bury her. Something about this Joe narrative lately makes me itch, and I just need the album immediately, like what on earth happened? Keleigh Teller liking shady tiktoks about him, Jack confirming YLM timeline, like they hate him. I still haven't forgotten the mass unfollowing. I don't even know the full story, and I HATE him.
I think he cheated on her and she's determined that no one will ever talk about him in relation to her again. I think the whole Matty Healy thing was her keeping the media elsewhere.
@e.brewin9038 I think we can surmise the Matty thing was Taylor absolutely spiralling, and he was a lapse in judgement. When you're coming out of a long-term relationship, you are deeply susceptible to dirty men who wanna give you attention
Yeah, there’s definitely more to the story about Joe. I definitely also believe that there’s a lot of celebrities that don’t like DeuxMoi because their existence threatens celebs’ privacy.
As someone who has been in toxic relationships and dealt with narcissistic abuse, my radar has been going off about their relationship since Jack posted about when YLM was made. And the slight shade from him and her friends, I don't know, it just gives me vibes that there was some sort of toxic, potentially abusive behavior going on. I watched a therapist reaction video listening to Anti-Hero, and she was picking up on cues that she thought Taylor might have endured some narcissistic abuse at some point in her life. I'm trying to give Joe the benefit of the doubt and not jump on the dislike bandwagon like other people (i haven't said any of this online to anyone). But with my experience dealing with abusive people, the red flags have been waving in my brain lol. Just food for thought.
There are multiple Deux U episodes (Deux Moi's podcast) where she so matter of factly talked about this commitment ceremony thing. 🙄 She also very confidently said that "Dear John" is about Martin Johnson. Hahahaha!
I know I'm being immature, but I can't get over Taylor's representative name being Tree. But so glad to hear that girl finally got some pushback, stalking people isn't suddenly ok cause they are famous. So, go Tree I guess.
Not even lying, I didn't realize her name was actually Tree. I thought it was just a joke nickname Swifties called Taylor's publicist. But one I noticed how widespread it was I was like: This isn't a trend is it? that's her name? Oh.
Before deuxmoi post that tree paine cited, there was a deleted post saying taylor had a miscarriage. she probably didnt mention it as to not drawing more attention to it.
Me chilling in 1989 era 🤍💙, Swifties loosing their minds over Rep TV 🖤, us totally forgetting about Joe… and all of a sudden: YLM release, Jack’s post and all of this drama…

@@allyson6735 thanks! It’s ridiculous… away games they have a strict curfew with no friends or spouses in the players rooms. Players have been fired for having their girlfriend in their room. Deuxmoi really needs to be held accountable. That “blind” can be debunked with common sense.

*racks brain from constitutional law class re: libel and slander* From what I remember (not a lawyer, just a pre-law graduate student so, yeah, this is just my recollection about defamation lawsuits) actual malice is often the hardest part for people that are considered public figures to clear when it comes to a civil lawsuit for libel or slander so I’m not totally certain that Taylor would be able to prove that it was done maliciously or with reckless disregard for the truth. Obviously, many people know that Deux-moi doesn’t really care about the truth, so, but proving that in court is so much more difficult. Ergo Tree Payne putting them on blast is probably better than going down the libel civil lawsuit path. They are rarely won by celebrities. (which is why celebrities/public figures rarely bother, if ever, to sue similar tabloids and magazines that say outrageous things about them and such). I agree that Deux moi’s biggest mistake will have been angering Swift and thus Swifties. We have seen more than once how well that has worked out for others in the past. Thank you again for the great content, cannot express enough how much your Taylor content is 100% the best I have seen.
I think your most interesting point was that Taylor’s team is purposefully highlighting the ridiculous ceremony claim to keep people’s attention off something much more hurtful/upsetting to her. Either way, it’s reckoning time for all the literally nonsense they’ve posted over the years!
I think that the whole concept of DeuxMoi is kind of problematic in of itself. Posting stuff about public figures without fact-checking can be dangerous. I know that she makes it clear in every post or whatever, but it’s still harmful. It is also weird that DeuxMoi is obsessed with this stance, even though it’s clearly over.
Hi Zack, great video yet again! I would like to say that: 1. Deuxmoi posts horrible blind items that are so easy to figure out. Paula Froelich, a former deputy editor of “Page Six" actually gives an idea of what a good blind item looks like: "Her team wrote it according to their legal department’s standards, which dictated that each identifying adjective could conceivably apply to between two and five people. (If an anonymous description can apply to only one person, that person may have grounds to sue a publication for libel.)" Deuxmoi's posts often give VERY specific characteristics of a person, making it easy to identify them. It would be very easy to sue her for libel. 2. I think Deuxmoi is a grease stain on civil society. Some of the things she speculates about are legitimately nauseating. She went to the Gossip Girl school of journalism.
Even if demouix won the legal case, they would be bleeding money from years in court. Taylor could totally ruin her just by prolonging an expensive case.
The timing is interesting. This secret ceremony claim was made by Deux Moi over a year ago so it is not new. However, Deux Moi dropped a podcast on November 23rd that featured an extended conversation with a crisis management PR “expert” about the negative press Taylor was receiving in Brazil & discussing how her PR team handled the situation. The guest even stated she felt that Taylor’s team was planting fluff Tayvis stories to “tamp down the stories coming out of Brazil”
Thank you for the very eloquent and thorough breakdown and for providing the context with the Cardi B case. It's nice to hear this kind of analysis from someone with a journalistic background.
Thank you Z I hope you will keep updating this, the potential legal action is interesting because T's team will be very very good, but I don't yet understand how they could make a case here (is the false statement damaging and how?). I'd love to watch that work.
I think the response came after Deuxmoi said the other very disgusting thing, but it was easier to go after the marriage post rather than the other claim she posted.
" a clown car with the wheels falling off, the epitome of three raccoons in a trench coat" 😆😆😆 Tree may be the one who started this war, but Zach just finished it
I love your content! Can I ask you a question? In your video yesterday, you mentioned a few songs that were written in the same session as 'you're losing me.'' How do we know which song was written in each writing session? I searched for this info but couldn't find it. You're the best, a big fan of yours from Greece
Came across your content and love love love it! ❤️You have such an intelligent way of presenting things. So glad I found you! On this topic I have 224675 thoughts but I will summarise. Disclaimer: I am a pretty avid Deuxmoi reader/listener so am going to weigh in with that playing. I’m not a ‘fan’ but have some insight from the hours I put in 1) Deuxmoi has become much more emboldened with their Taylor content recently. They broke the Travis relationship and have been riding the wave since and love it. My personal opinion which I hear in their tone of voice and how defensive they get about things is that they are an amateur operation that wants to go more mainstream and is using their latest Taylor info to get there. On the podcast last week they openly stated how “everything they post on Taylor goes viral”. Sidenote: total personal opinion but they are not a likeable person. They come accross as self righteous and have a victim complex when you actually hear them speak on the podcast. Quite belittling at times too. 2) Following on they are monetising EVERYTHING and pushing themselves more into the mainstream. Subscribers, merch, newsletter, book…. They will repost every compliment they get to encourage people to buy into it. They know talking about Taylor only helps this 3) They have mentioned the Taylor/Joe marriage multiple multiple times and cited having numerous accurate sources. Is that bullshit? Who is to say but I don’t think it is simply 2 DM’s. 4) the Travis/Taylor engagement stuff has been really baffling to me as they are going on and on. They have been talking about dates as if Travis himself has clued them in! I think Taylor has found this incredibly annoying. My guess is that there is a grain of truth here. Taylor is a mastermind in her own image and would not want a potential engagement cheapened by a gossipy Instagram account. 5) Which brings me to the fact I don’t think this is going to court. Taylor is okay leaking breadcrumbs about how her relationship with Joe was not all sweetness and light but she is not going to want a court case where she has to rehash what happened in the past particularly now she is in a new relationship. I agree this is a warning shot with the goal of hurting Deuxmoi’s reputation and turning them off to the mainstream. lol how I said summarise and then wrote war and peace! Just my ten cents! Thanks again for the great content! xxxxxxx
I love that my swifologist is also a true journalist king. Not in terms of facts in this video since it’s more your thoughts, but from a journalist’s viewpoint on processes/bts stuff.
Deuxmoi reminds me of this one K-Pop news channel on UA-cam that talks about "news." This includes rumors that have not been proven to be true and confirmed. Because of this, people in the comments are going crazy. I am personally happy that Taylor Swift's publicist said something because someone has to say, "Enough is enough." What Deuxmoi is doing is not good because Swifties who do not know any better WILL believe news it writes about Taylor Swift. If this was a real news thing, then, I believe, they should only write about stories that have been confirmed.
Thank you for including that they used to be a fashion page !!! I remember them from a while back and when I encountered it again recently I thought fashion deumoix was a personal Mandela effect
Thank you for your “messy boots on the ground” coverage…just enough spice along with the tea. 😉 Also love the point you made before about how the heirloom turkey acted in interviews, very telling indeed….he was uncomfortable with her power and gravity….good she’s found someone who shines without her, and allows her to shine even brighter than themselves without feeling diminished or “cringing” at the celebrity of it all (cough cough, Joe)
I strongly think Tree & Taylor were set off by something other that this one particular post. A post that’s been since deleted, and would possibly cause pain & trauma.
I DID read the Deuxmoi book (don’t judge me, I saw it at the library as I was waiting for a book order to come in the mail 😂.) If we are to believe the book, she does have legal counsel. In the book it was the partner of her best friend. BUT, it was very informal and just a “what do I need to do to protect myself from legal trouble?” While he did inform her there is more that needs to be done, the statement on her IG BIO was his immediate suggestion for avoiding lawsuits.
My guess is this: Taylor is in a new relationship that is getting serious. She doesn't want his friends and family, new acquaintances, to be questioning whether she is married. That's my 2 cents.
I think the fact that she was stalked and hounded about why she wasn't engaged is part of it too. The paps were always on the lookout to see if she was wearing an engagement ring, and people were endlessly weighing in on the topic. I know political pundits like Candace Owens have videos discussing why "nobody wants to marry her." Plus, who knows what really went down with her and Joe. She is in a new relationship now and seems to just want to live her life and be happy. My question is this - if they aren't verifying all of this "info" then how do they know it isn't coming from legit enemies of Taylor - people she knows fabricating stories just to be malicious? They don't. I think anonymous accounts are people who are cowards.
I can understand why some people would think why would she let this stuff get to her or be an issue, but years ago with a boyfriend of mine his ex gf kept making rumours up about me. Probably more than I know about but I remember one early on in our relationship that I was a lesbian and later one that she had seen me cheating on him in a public place. Of course my bf at the time, myself and anyone else close to me knew those rumours weren't true, but it still bothered me. When you care about a relationship you don't want them to have to think about those scenarios, and it's just like when you want to shout to the world that you love someone.. you don't want the world to think that you're cheating on them or other shady things going on there, and if it upset me then when it was about myself and other unknown unimportant people I can only imagine how it makes Taylor feel! Power to her if they want to take deuxmoi down or at least scare them off doing this to her again 😅
No that’s not it. There was an additional post with Deuxmoi posting a blind item claiming Taylor had a miscarriage. The post was deleted once Tree clapped back.
as a stan of many artists i've heard of deuxmoi and i've always though it was very obvious that they are not a reliable source, but i have seen people actually talk about them seriously and that always pissed me off so i'm LIVING to see them get dragged!

I REALLY appreciate that you didn’t repeat the rumors that you (and I) think are the ones that really got Tree and Taylor upset enough to go after Duexmoi. I hope whatever idiot runs that account watches this video to see what journalistic integrity looks like.
I am LIVING for all this swiftologist content
If the ceremony was not legal, then they are not married. I don't even understand the point of bringing it up now.

“Elevator music in the brain” LITERALLY made me laugh out LOUD 💀
Why is Deuxmoi getting a tv show, we already have one and it's called Gossip Girl.
i‘m having so much fun this week, first we get you‘re losing me, then we get the rasin story, now deuxmoi is getting annihaltated, what a fantastic chaos to witness
Hahahaha!

Thank you for the hot tea!! This past week has been an emotional roller coaster!
So excited for two videos a week, hopefully your boots won’t give you blisters from all of that hard work! 😄
Hi Zack, great video yet again!
I would like to say that:
(If an anonymous description can apply to only one person, that person may have grounds to sue a publication for libel.)"
Deuxmoi's posts often give VERY specific characteristics of a person, making it easy to identify them. It would be very easy to sue her for libel.
2. I think Deuxmoi is a grease stain on civil society. Some of the things she speculates about are legitimately nauseating. She went to the Gossip Girl school of journalism.
You deserve so many more subscribers and podcast watchers and yes drag these crazy crazy people
Even if demouix won the legal case, they would be bleeding money from years in court.

I’m not a ‘fan’ but have some insight from the hours I put in
1) Deuxmoi has become much more emboldened with their Taylor content recently.
They know talking about Taylor only helps this
3) They have mentioned the Taylor/Joe marriage multiple multiple times and cited having numerous accurate sources.
Thanks again for the great content!
xxxxxxx

i’ve had mutuals on twitter literally make up random things and submit it, and it’s been posted lol
It’s the work rate FOR ME! Lemme go order some food and watch this vid
I think why this was the final straw is that many swifties believed this rumour in contrast to other silly claims
Thank you for your “messy boots on the ground” coverage…just enough spice along with the tea. 😉
Also love the point you made before about how the heirloom turkey acted in interviews, very telling indeed….he was uncomfortable with her power and gravity….good she’s found someone who shines without her, and allows her to shine even brighter than themselves without feeling diminished or “cringing” at the celebrity of it all (cough cough, Joe)
Was just thinking when is the Swiftologist going to give us the details I need about this story and here it is! :)
OH WE ARE GETTING FED, Aren't WE NOW? THANK YOU KING!!
listening to this is giving me flashbacks to the heydays of oh no they didn’t
@@angelamarie4137 I love that Candice is getting roasted in her own comment sections now for coming for Taylor. It's so revealing.
@@angelamarie4137 With Candace, always remember who she's BFF's with... KW.
