2:30 Tenor drops Stick 2:32 Tenor knocks over water bottle 2:40 Guy goes and picks up stick and water bottle 2:52 Guy starts filpping the stick in his hands 2:56 Guy hits himself in the balls with the stick and immediatley sits down and plays it off like nothing happened. You see there is a lot more to this video than just drumming.
god, bluecoats drumline is consistently incredibly good and incredibly fun to watch. and the book is sick! another great year--congratulations on third place, bluecoats!
yeah it was weird at my school. The drum major was supposed to watch my feet for the tempo. so at practice the metronome would be right behind the drumline and i had to hear it to make sure that i pushed the tempo because usually the band slowed down.
Yesss!! Glad somebody got them in the lot, I was gonna get 'em but apparently you're not allowed to leave and come back once you enter the stadium...should've just stayed in the lot until Glassmen went on... Greats vids btw
-3:21 Does anyone know what the tenors are saying? Last years show they had it in the Closer I think, but I don't have any idea what it is Other than Blue Q *something something*
yeah i was snare on my drumline and i would constantly ask them to turn up the metronome because i couldn't hear it over the playing. you must not have been playing through the drum
Oh my god. I always hate when instructors put the damn metronome so close to you. You can hear the damn thing from 100 yards away, and yet they insist on putting it within two feet of you.
I loved it, but the only weird thing was the awkward passe that the snares did around 1:40 and 3:40 and being a former dancer it irked me that they weren't pointing their feet *shudder*
@voicestobeheard lol yeah right. That would definitely not look good on me. I was telling my fellow snares that we should convince our percussion instructor to make day 1 a full battery/front ensemble trip to atlanta though.
these guys are kinda like rockstars in drumming, i mean, already, they kick ass, look good while kicking ass and piss in soda bottles then throw 'em at cops in the streets
2:30 Tenor drops Stick
2:32 Tenor knocks over water bottle

That was my stick I dropped.
Snare entrance at 0:30 sounds like the mvt 2 snare feature of Downside Up
god, bluecoats drumline is consistently incredibly good and incredibly fun to watch. and the book is sick! another great year--congratulations on third place, bluecoats!
wow, blue coats are looking awesome again this year. they were my favorite battery of 2009 and they look even better this year.
bluecoats are always having a good time rocking out. i really like this line.
@ASnareM Its part of the show on the field. Bass 5 was away from the rest of the drumline and was doing that move
lookin pretty good! can't wait for them to come to texas. does anybody know why they are down to 8 snares from 9 last year?
yeah it was weird at my school. The drum major was supposed to watch my feet for the tempo. so at practice the metronome would be right behind the drumline and i had to hear it to make sure that i pushed the tempo because usually the band slowed down.
@MrSnareplaya Well with a last name like Gasteiger do you expect anything other than a beast?
Snares aren't using scoops this year? I wonder why. Does anyone know why?
Yesss!! Glad somebody got them in the lot, I was gonna get 'em but apparently you're not allowed to leave and come back once you enter the stadium...should've just stayed in the lot until Glassmen went on...
Greats vids btw
I love how that one tenor drum just pulled out another stick when he dropped one.
I honestly say that the Bluecoats have the best drumline..
Can someone please tell me; what metronome do they use here? One that memorizes tempo changes, and numbers of bars etc. ?
i love the quad break so much!
@vintonlions50 this isn't there cadence, this is their actual show. but their cadence is pretty amazing too
Does anyone have the music that the tenors are playing at the beginning?
@mikey16piet i can barely hear anything while playing my snare. let alone with 6 other snares playing at the same time. have you not marched before?
-3:21
Does anyone know what the tenors are saying?
Last years show they had it in the Closer I think, but I don't have any idea what it is
Other than Blue Q *something something*
@drmcbeats im pretty sure they are Evans Corps Clear
bluecoats were amazing in Atlanta!!!!
Nice quality, what was this recorded with?
@mikey16piet ..do you play on a drumline? you can hear it a lot clearer if it's that close...especially when you're freaking playing..
I'm pretty upset that this year Atlanta falls on the first day of our drum camp
Where can i find the sheet music for this?
anyone please
That tenor player is gorgeous.
the guy who is 2nd to the rightmost snare, is his name joel?
yeah i was snare on my drumline and i would constantly ask them to turn up the metronome because i couldn't hear it over the playing. you must not have been playing through the drum
is beat 1 on the left or right for the bluecoats?
This sounds so hella clean for being midway through tour.
My favorite tenor player is the one in the middle.
@LAKings0101 Ya I had it in the video, but the transition cut it out
Why are people still replying to mikey? He posted last July and he's STILL getting notifications.
That was beast as hell.
@htdrummerautumn gonna say you havent seen the show. he does that during the show
what part of the show is this?
so is mike with the cavies now?
those 8 people that clicked the like button "MISSED" the LIKE button
idk what the dci judges were talking about. bluecoats had the sickest show this year!
no scoops?
whats goin on with 5th bass at 4:08? lol
so if i am female, and 5'2", could i ever play and march with a line like this?
Why didn't Luke march this season?
@ 2:44 we got this book and Aha was our closer this year, it is basicly what they are playing right her
What is bass 5 doing at like 3:59? lol
the way the snares "marked time" int he beginning.
Beautiful.
@StarCorpsProductions what's even better is the reaction of the guy in the blue shirt at 2:56
wtf bass 5 at the end?
REALLY CLEAN.
next year i might try out
Congrats on 3rd place at DCI finals!! Wow!
Plus, you are suppose to follow the drum major, not the metronome.
BLUECOATS 2010 WINNERS
@DarkSpark94 It's a solo.
Those are some very funny comments about the Tenor stick dropping, etc.
@Xelanoux you should have seen their 2008 show....KICK ASS!!!
@afunkybeat Yes. Joel Myers I believe
was this recorded with jesus?
@Lateralus424 I think someone needs to reboot him... he blue screened
@Xelanoux i glanced at that middle tenor that droppped the stick and thought it was matt grimes. damn.
no..
but the Cavies video you copied that comment from was...
This book is so fun
@davidooo95 Sound travels at 340 m / s. If they put the met back 10 feet, it would only be a thousandth of a second later.
those tenors don't give an F, they know they're badass
Oh look.. I'm in this one..
I cracked up when Amador Dropped his stick, because Mike picked up, and then dropped it...
lol
@mikey16piet they do that so they won't have to blast it 100 yards away so the other lines could hear -___-
anyone notice the train?
Thanks to Ryan Lamb

That tenor feature is quite difficult.
@nickheck nope. he can march this year and next year.
@drksdofthmoon
I have knockout's snare break memorized
4:05 bass 5 is just chillin on one leg!!
"Sweet free stick" 😂
i wonder what scott nelson would think if the bluecoats won this year... cuz its very possible.
@cwilliamsmus dr. beat. they do that, most of them at least
EVEN THE STICK CLICK AT :56 WAS PISS CLEAN
@IHATEPLAID
yup
@TheVinnster1 "Blue Q Unity"
Look at Onye go!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!
@Junior2730 that guy was the wildest dude on impulses snareline haha
@mashdoctor: he'll yeah dude. Crown is looking too good this year. But so are the bluecoats. My moneys on one of them this year.
@awildmuffin if you meet the standards for a line like this,i don't see why not.
these guys are kinda like rockstars in drumming,
i mean, already, they kick ass, look good while kicking ass and piss in soda bottles then throw 'em at cops in the streets
@StarCorpsProductions I can't stop laughing at that
the beat around :40 is so sick
@santiagoverno the chick on the far left marched rcc too
@ziggyrig I bet you have a lot of friends.
cleaner than BD...that's for sure!!
0:33 uh.........that was just a little clean
8 people got cut
At 1:11, michael jackson was hiding in the trees behind the line
@mikey16piet sound delay, bro
@MrJudomaster94 Jinxed. lol 5 people got owned by this drumline.
@StarCorpsProductions hahahaha just made my life
@AkantorKloud solo.
@StarCorpsProductions i actually almost pissed my self after reading this than watching it.
