- Now, just how do you start a game as over-the-top as Bayonetta? With THIS!!!!!!!!
Thrown into an iconic opening sequence, you've got lore being thrown at you, enemies everywhere and you haven't even gotten a tutorial yet! Clearly, PlatinumGames wanted to make an impression...and I'd say they succeeded! This scene is so iconic its Bayo's stage in Smash 4 for crying out loud!
As far as I know, you can't die here, and there's no end to enemies. This is really just a playground to get a feel for the game before you actually get thrown into it. Don't worry, tutorials are coming up soon to make some sense of things.
As you can see here, Bayonetta and this strange lady in red are Umbra Witches, fighting off an armada of angels. We'll get proper introductions to Jeanne and these angelic enemies later.

One of the best opening sequences ever, to this very day its at least top 3 for me.
man, the intro being shown in sepia and with its music playing through an old record player makes it even better

this is one of the best opening sequences of all time. the clock tower and the implications around it with the lore being displayed all while during this is just amazing.
Just like the PS3, youtube can't cope with this.

MK sucks, I'd rather have her in s Street Fighter game or Soul Calibur. If DOA didn't become a joke, that would have been my first choice, I was a big fan of the first games.

Saw this map on smash bros and it reminded me this game existed. I should get a new copy, it forever will be one of my favourites.
Having re-watched the Smash trailer and information dump that followed with context now in mind, I do take greater notice of the Inspired and Fortitudo encroachments... but are you even allowed to register them as proper targets in this segment? I mean, it's clear that the latter wants to give you opportunities to work on your multitasking and dodging while already under duress, especially in this stakes-free environment... but isn't all this AND the narration just pure sensory overload?! Even when they're taking it easy on you, these guys really know how to rub it in!
+YuuGiJoou Pure overload is how Platinum DO! After they've broken you, they'll rebuild you into something bigger! Better! More....stylish! Someone that can take on the likes of Fortitudo without blinking!
I prefer the version with the elder's voice by far !

Luka does narrate the Bayo 2 prologue stage....maybe you're confusing that for this?
B- Squared Yeah, I realized yesterday because I loved it so much. Didn't even play Bayonetta 2 yet since I don't have a WiiU
