I had my braces for almost 3 years, my lower teeths were set in 1 year only but i had to keep them just to fill the gap on upper teeths created by extraction of teeths. Now 3 yrs completed and all the gaps are filled do i need to wear retainers in this situation?

Mam Maine suna hai ki retainer pahene ka baad bhi lambe samay baad yani kuchh 4 - 5 ya 10 saal baad relapse ko sambhavna rahti hai, kripya mujhe Is bare me doubt clear kar dijiye.
