    I have a piece of hair extensions that is slightly too short to go with my natural hair... but it could come in handy for this hair style, which I love and could actually wear any day at work with a couple alterations. Thanks for the tutorial!

    Love it, but sadly I'm not a big fan of using extensions, even with the thin hair that I have. do you have any tips on making the braid look full without using extensions?

    • @silvousplaits
      @silvousplaits  8 років тому +3

      +Tepe Hall You could pancake the braid by pulling the sections out a bit. This does make the braid shorter though. Or if you're heat styling friendly, a texture iron/crimper really adds a lot of volume.

  • @liadanducky
    @liadanducky 8 років тому +2

    This is great! I took so long trying to figure out how she did it and could never make heads or trails of how it was pinned in place!

    • @silvousplaits
      @silvousplaits  8 років тому +1

      +liadanducky I'm convinced most of the braids in the show are separate pieces. They're just too long and thick to match the rest of the hair. But this was one style where I figured a way to do it anyways with hair that's actually attached to my head haha

    I think you're well aware of it but just in case, there is a mistake in your "name" ("Silvousplaits) ; in fact it should have been written : "silvousplait" as it is a french phrase (i'm french). if you have already known it, sorry for telling you this

    • @silvousplaits

      c'est un jeu de mots, parce que "plaits" est un autre mot pour "braids" en anglais

    are those rollers comfortable to sleep on?

    • @silvousplaits
      @silvousplaits  8 років тому +1

      +Anja Wassermann They do have a metal center, so I'd say they're only comfortable if you figure out how to position them that works with your sleep style. I sleep on my front with my head turned to the side so I tend to make the forward curls sit on top of my head and the others placed more in the back so the sides of my head are free.

    • @silvousplaits
      @silvousplaits  8 років тому

      +EverythingOnIce22 Not all that much harder technique wise, but just cannot be done without a lot of hair and it's difficult to discreetly add that much extension with the way the hairstyle goes.

    U can make thick braids out of thinner hair if u brush out the frenchbraids waves result
