Kev, thanks for the shoutout for the podcast! Really enjoyed our discussion and will have you on again soon. Also, I was mildly turned on with you soldering skills and your aluminum cutting skills. Brilliant stuff!

Any time sir. my soldering skills are from hours of watching UA-cam videos on how to do it :) :) - it always amazes me what a fantastic resource you tube can be. glad you enjoyed the video sir

Another job done sir .... she’s getting close to being finished.
Waiting for Peter’s podcast to go live. Only discovered it a few weeks back and binge listened from episode 1. I’m fully up to date and looking forward to your chat with him.

I forget that I grew up in a shop where we sold Loctite, and thus have always known of the wonders of cyanoacrylate accelerator. To wit: my teenage years when I glued half of everything I own to the other half. That's a good little fix there, Kev! Great work

I've made rear window demisters with that stuff when I was a kid - used to get it with a stencil for the window glass so you could paint the lines straight and thin. Just think of it as gluing the connector down with conductive paint and you'll be ok.

Wow that's awesome, you have got me thinking now where else could I make custom screen heating elements 🤔🤔. Thank you and I am glad you enjoyed the video

Ha ha, so do I. They seem pretty solid but we will see what damp mornings and off road rallying do to them. Glad you enjoyed the video

good stuff👍, if this doesn't work try conductive epoxy and cooper tape, less resistance than the bracket and less brittle than wire glue.

you know what, I never thought one about the resistance :o - gosh . thank you and copper tape sounds like a great idea

Nice one, I need to do the same on Tardis/. Where did you get the glue?

Wire glue? It's a bit late for an April Fools!
It looks like it's go a high graphite content to give conductivity.
Water will work as a superglue activator although a bespoke activator will give more consistent results.

Re super glue , yes Google super glue accelerator

Ermmm I'm no electrician but aluminium doesn't conduct electricity!😮
