- This is the process to make a Kydex sheath for a sword. The sword is our Deuce model 3. To do this at home you'll need: Kydex, an oven, a press, a grinder, a band saw, eyelets and a rivet press, a drill press or drill, and an employee to do all the work for you.
Cook the Kydex for 8 minutes at about 350 degrees.....season to taste.
Add 2-3 layers of duct or gorilla tape to your blade or sheathing blank...season to taste.
Press the Kydex with your blade or sheathing blank for 3 ish minutes...flip if it warps....season to taste.
Don't cook it too long because it may ruin the texture on the plastic....if this happens season extra to taste.
Don't press for too long as it may damage your foam....extra seasoning here as well.
Grind in a well ventilated area...Kydex fumes are poisonous....and the dust gets everywhere...makes poor seasoning.
You could use rivets instead of eyelets but you won't be able to string the sheath.
Serve with meat, the blood of your enemies and a fist full of Fuck Yeah!

My man wearing a two tone Utilikilt workman. My favorite kilt btw. Have four at this point. I have a black, a khaki, a black/gray, and a tan/green. Wish the colors didn't fade so fast (the original Utilikilt I have is still unfazed by time and has no signs of fading at all) but they're still tough as nails and comfortable as shit. Plus the fading adds character once it gets to a certain point.
Nice to see another kilt man! I haven't worn pants or shorts in years. Kilts till I die.
Love your D'Capitan Sabre BTW. Toughest sword I own.
Love us the D'cap as well...and kilts!
It’s amazing how much work goes into making each sheath. You guys are awesome!
Thanks Big Cheese!
The new legends in edge weapons!!! Took on a second part time job so I could buy two from you guys, gonna need them in the days to come.
Thanks Blackdog!
I have been on the fence for some time about getting a ZT blade. Even cheaped out on an APOC. After seeing all this love and hand work I'm saving.

Same, I will probably not get anything too big but the D'capitan companion seems perfect for me

Absolutely beautiful work, good sir
Cheers 🍻
Amazing you make it
Oh I bet you say that to all the sword makers.
Great video! Where did you get foam for your press so long? I can't find anything over 24" long.
Can you do this for practically any blade shape?
Yes. Although some present challenges if they are larger toward the tip. We'll have to do a video showing those...
