Words can't describe how I love this video and your other similar vlogs. Thanks for making this incredible source of knowledge Sir! You're one of my most favorite photographer.
Such good advice, and yes exactly..when. a creative director can have a conversation about photographic narrative, lighting and a passionate exchange of ideas, the photographer gets the job! All about your real POV....not a huge portfolio that u have to comment on every third pic to be polite...
Thank you Alexi! I check everyday your youtube channel if you share a new video. I wish you had lots of time and could do more of them. These are so helpful and inspirational. I am so grateful Greetings from London
Two years ago, at a children's playhouse in Athens, I saw a fantastic cover photo of Anne Hathaway on Harper's Bazaar. I immediately looked up the photographer, and consequently sent you a message there and then asking if you could share some insight into your methods. These videos are to me are the best answer imaginable (OK, I won't take the credit :-). Now, where can I find shirts that stay crispy clean and creaseless....
Hi @AlexiLubomirski, How are you? Wanted to ask who printed your images? Also, are there any rules about the size of the images and the white border lines? How big is your portfolio? It looks huge! haha #Thanks Plamen
Hi Alexi. great piece of advise, thanks for taking the time. However, I am not saying it was easy, but when you were starting out there were a lot less competition right? Now at day, big brands and big magazines wants to use the same photographers over and over. Mostly I think because there are so many of us that why bother traying to search for a great one among so many not so good. Make sense? What would be your advise to break into better mags and start getting noticied in such competitime world? thanks again.
Thanks for the answer, Alexi. I do "train" also in Christmas hehe I agree with you and since I started kind of late in life on this, I know I have to work 3 times harder than a 20 yo photographer. I don´t give up and wont do it, but sometimes is frustrating to see how the editors wont easily open up to give chances and take risks on new photographers. But I guess you are right, sooner or latter if one keep knocking on the door, it will either open or fall off. :) best to you and I admire your photography and your philosophy of life that shows on how you carry yourself and your work. hi Alexi! thanks for this video - its of immeasurable value. what if your portfolio has got only your personal work - you graduate from fashion photography / communication course and all you have is what you have created. i guess you don't have any other choice - but i' love to hear your opinion.
Could you please clarify that how could you find your clients when you were fresh in business,in early years, how is your marketing strategy? : ) Thank you
Are you using proofs in your actual portfolio?!? Or was that a filler for the video? I remember the story at the end of the clip. Worked on it with Tim...seems like ages ago ;) also your channel is great! Keep up the amazing work!
