- Easy clip install without the tool........let me show you how I install the clips without the specialized tool so maybe you can avoid some frustration.
The tool is called the clip bender which you can find online......its about $13.......you may not want to go back into town, or may not be able to purchase it....no worries you can do it easily.
This fence is the one separating my orchard and goats, the clips are the last step after pounding in the T-posts but the star of the video is Penelope, she trying to steal my time in the spotlight!

Nice! I've put on thousands of t-post clips and never thought about using a stubby. Thanks for the tip.
We used the 2x4 for horses. Seemed awkward watching at first but I realized we did the same thing but from the "inside of the fencing placing the small hook on the left side and pulled the clip around the back of the post to the right side then twisting the wire with a screw driver and getting that first wrap without reaching through the fence. Used wire pliers to bend the ends to face the outside of the fence so animals don't rub against the fence and injure themselves on a sharp end of the wire. I can see why you found a way to do it from the outside of your fence, you'd most likely have a cute little goat climbing all over you:) God love those little goats, they're so cute💚 Good video!
THANKS 👍👍...I like the short swrewdriver trick...that way have something to grab to twist it around...nail is ok but small & dosent have handle to grab...
Hands arent what they use to be
Great!!!! Been waiting for a month for hubby to finish the fence... now I can do it in a couple of days!!
Lol
Ty! I really don't feel like driving 22 miles to get the "tool"...😁
Agreed me neither
Really good, thank you.
This is a great video on this topic. Short, sweet, and extremely helpful. Thank you! I'm surprised it has so few views and likes.
Hey I really appreciate you watching and commenting thanks for the props
Thank you so much for sharing. I will be doing this for sure!!
Yeap! This is great info! I’ve used pliers for years and it get awkward trying to do with heavy gloves on. Thanks for the tip! God bless!
Thanks for the support
This is the clearest and most helpful video I have found on UA-cam. Thanks a lot!
Really appreciate your comment! Thanks
Thanks so much! I do it the first way you demonstrated and it is a pain. Going to try your small screwdriver method. It looks so so easy. Amazing.
Thanks for watching! Glad I could help
Very helpful partner! Thank you for sharing 😊
Appreciate it thanks
Excellent! Thanks!
well done video, looks great
Thank you so much, especially for moving the camera. 😂
Awesome video! Thanks!
Yes yes yes thank you so much, I just want to make a little fenced area for my dog so I’m not gonna go buy the $13 tool but the pliers and a little tiny screwdriver are gonna work well !!
Thanks for watching and commenting!!!
That’s a fantastic tip. Thank you
Thank you! Appreciate you watching and commenting!
Use a stubby screwdriver! Thanks! Great idea!
Thanks for watching and commenting!
Brilliant, thank you sir.
This was Awesome Thank You…
Good video but I bought clits that both sides were short so I had to drill a hole in a flat head screw driver to get it around bc the pliers didn’t fit through the 2x4 openings.
Found another video on another Channel after I saw you use the word dang... 😊
Valuable tip
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
very helpful. thanks
SWEET, just what I needed!
Glad it helped, those clips frustrated me for a while!
Made QUICK work of them, thanks again!
🎉 this is genius!
two thumbs up man!
Thanks!
Nice👍
Bag of heavy duty zip ties!😂
It’s only temporary, especially with goats
Gonna try it! Thank🙂
Hey thanks for watching and commenting let us know what you think it worked out nothing to be such a pain in the butt
@@ozarkshomesteadandfarm oh, another question I had...is there a cheap hack to attach boards to t posts? Those brackets are expensive when you have to buy a lot?
Plumbers hanging tape
@@ozarkshomesteadandfarm love it! 😊The last few years I have really been trying to ' use what I got' instead of spending more money. You've got that gift it seems! I'll check out the rest of your vids. Thanks again.
Thank you.
perfect and succinct!
Thanks
Thanks amigo
No problem
Brilliant
Thanks
And the horizontal wire goes on top of the T-post cleat. All other horizontals will rest on a cleat, right?
The clips that came with my t-posts didn't work with a screwdriver. The screwdriver kept popping out because of the way the long end was bend in relation to the fence. I ended up using lineman's pliers, and it sucked, but it got the job done.
I can relate……sorry
Very helpful! What kind of fence pounder do you use to put the posts in the ground? I have been trying to find out from Tractor supply which one will fit those T posts to buy one online and the customer service representatives don't seem to know. They have several different ones for sale. I can't afford a gas powered automatic one; just looking for a good manual one.
They are all design for T post anyone should fit
Get on the other side of the fence. Makes it a lot easier.
I thought that too. Well, actually I’m on the fence about it
LOVE IT!!!!! I only have to apply 5000 F****clips!
Omg hire someone!!!!! GL
Wait, free child labor? Lol
A 4 inch piece of flat/thin scrap metal with a hole drilled in one side will also work. If you got your clips from lowes then the stubby won't work. Don't buy clips from lowes is what i'm saying!
Nice tip, thanks! 👍
Nice video but I have no idea why you didn't put the camera on your left vs right. Can't really see much.
Me neither 🤷
@@ozarkshomesteadandfarm it was still helpful my man 👍🏼

Do you have a clip on how you installed the fence?
Yes……I titled it “how to stretch/pull fence” go to my page and look for it in the videos section.
smart
Thank you, I appreciate you watching my video!
I think your Tee post needs to be turned around. Not unless your goat is on the outside of the fence.
You put it on upside down
I’ve come to the conclusion base on various codes about this t-post fencing is simply a huge albeit cheap pain in the ass method of fencing. I haven’t seen a single video on here that shows me anything that actually help me ensure my fence is tight and these clip get properly installed. Guess this is just the con to t-post fencing
The clips just hold the fence to the post…….a tight fence is only attained by securing post wood/steel with concrete to allow you to pull the fence tight…..the more pull posts the better. T posts and clips only support the fence.
@@ozarkshomesteadandfarm yea I’m only running a temporary t-post only fence so yea no wonder I can’t get it to where it is actually taut. I’ll just deal with it for the time being. Thanks
Ur on the wrong side
Your on the wrong side. Get on the other side. Put clip on. Crimp small end, Use handle of pliers to spin large end around. Done takes 5 seconds. Watch a video how to use the clips before making a fail on how to use them 😂 or work for a farmer Jsjs
don't buy any tools. use a 16 penney nail. i worked on a cattle ranch for years, nobody cares if ya lose a nail!
Nice tip 😉
Nail trick too but need a little something to grab on to twist it around... Hands aren't what they use to be
Thanks!
Anytime hope it helped
