When you ask Americans why they have guns, they often say it's for self-defence. Well, self-defence isn't a valid reason to own a gun. First, you don't need a gun to defend yourself if someone comes looking for a fight or tries breaking into your house. There are countless ways of defending yourself effectively and with reasonable force. Second, if other people don't have guns, then you don't need one either. You can't say you need a gun to defend yourself when nobody else has a gun to shoot you with. That doesn't make sense. Also, there's a difference between defending yourself and SHOOTING someone. So, the only reason you need a gun in America is because everyone else has one, not because it's required for self-defence. Big big difference... No civilian needs a gun for anything, and America is the only country on earth that hands out guns to everyone like tea and biscuits. The only people who should have access to firearms is the military, special law enforcement and licenced individuals. Once again, no civilian needs a gun. If nobody around you has one, then you don't need one either. So, that whole "self-defence" excuse is BS

What's the maximum range of a MP-5k ??? I like the compactness of MP5 ( easy to have in my car trunk ) along with my M-4s. Want to add the MP5 to my arsenal. But,the M-4s maximum effective range is 600 meters, but,in the army our farthest target was 300 meters on the qualifying range. Some of the Marines I served with on my first tour in Iraq said they usually quaified on 600 meter targets at their qualiying range. I was seeing mighty fine shooting on my 4 deployments to Iraq from the Marines and guys from my infantry unit, they were taking down targets from ridiculous angles, positions and distances while under fire too. As an MP5 owner, 5 reasons you dont want an MP5 1. They are picky as hell with magazines 2. The magazines that do work are $50 or more a piece 3. The trigger is heavy and slow in semi auto. Even getting a trigger job only gets you to a out 5 or 6 lbs 4. Reloads are slower than EVERY OTHER PCC out there. Scorpion, Stribog, CMMG, APC, Vector...all faster. 5. The safety is long and stiff (pause) 6. Parts are expensive just because its MP5 related Theres more but i said 5 and went to 6
First off the only magazine you should be using is hk lol. But most of you talking points are accurate but guess what it’s pin point accurate and god forbid you ever turn it full auto game over. Lol
For over 10 years I owned a full auto conversion of an HK 94 to a full auto MP5 with an AWC MK9 suppressor. Oh how I miss this gun . Because of gun laws I ended up selling it because I thought that I was moving to a non NFA state. All you could hear was the bolt racking as the bullets impacted on their targets. I ended up selling this rig with extra magazines and two gun cases. And that gun was accurate and would keep short bursts on a target at 20 yards that you could cover with the end of a Coke can.
In these horrible economic conditions, I think 2k is better spent on an accurate handgun, but this is an entertaining informative video. Thank you sir.

There’s only one flaw to an MP5. No hold open when ammo is exhausted. A friend on a SWAT team challenged the HK rep on that and the answer given was,”That way the enemy won’t know you’re out of ammo.” 😮The reply to that was,”I should think one of us should know.” That said, they are indeed fun lil buggers. Bought an MP-5 clone from Zenith a couple years ago. The first time I shot it... I understood. Worth every penny to get into that platform, whether it's a model from HK or Zenith or PTR or Century any of the other clones out there.
Up here in Canukistan, we aren't allowed to have nice things, this includes MP5s. We can however have the GSG16 22LR that looks like a MP5, and allowed to use the included 22round magazines (which actually will hold 24 rounds), and not limited to 5 or 10 rounds like semi auto centerfire rifles and handguns are limited to.

I love my Ap-5 clone. Got it cheap at Psa. Struggling with the thought of putting a folding stock on it since I have to go through the hoops but it seems like it’s worth it.
I purchased a Communist Compliant PTR 9R a few years ago. It was just sitting there, on the used shelf of a gunstore next town over, waiting for someone to take it home and give it the love and care and affection it deserves. I installed the Magpul telescopic stock and trigger housing, then had the barrel cut down to 13” then permanently pinned 3” flash hider to get back to 16”. The extended barrel still looks goofy with a standard short handguard, but overall the aesthetics are so much better.
I am poor so I got an AP5 and then spent SP5 money building it anyway. It is without a doubt the most fun gun I've ever owned. I cannot stress enough how amazing they are to run. 14/10 would recommend, no other PCC even comes close imo. Only downside is the outdated controls. If someone makes an MP5 pattern gun with last round bolt hold open, and a more conventional mag release, it will be the only PCC anyone ever buys
I live in the state of stupid otherwise known as California. I started working on firearms in 1972. At a shop I worked at in the 80's we were HK dealers (not class 3). I purchased a 91, 94, and 93. I checked with an attorney about getting a MP5. He said it would cost $50,000 in legal fees with no guarantee I would ever get one. In sold my HK's in early 2000 giving up that the unconstitutional assault ban would ever get overturned! I am going to leave the state in 2026 and will move to a state where I will again buy a 94 and 91. The MP5 is out of reach!

I'm an old man, And I want an MP5 just because I f****** want one..... And that old school movie with Emilio estevez Navy seals....... Love your work colion, keep doing what you do brother....
I tried a full auto MP-5k once. It seemed crazy to me how something so small could fire so fast that it stood me up straight out of my 'hunched over' stance. It was a very strange sensation.
Go look at an uzi then
What's the maximum range of a MP-5k ??? Man, 3 videos in less than 24 hours that talk about 3 of the coolest guns.
Garand Thumb had the G18, Brandon Herrera had the Kriss Vector, and now you bring out the MP5.
i can think of 100 reasons. but lets go with 5. 👍🏼
My fave cousin left me his beloved HK94 a few years ago (1968.... I think it went for about $450 back then)..... Most fun to shoot pistol cartridge carbine ever..... While waiting for NIC check to go thru for an inexpensive .22lr 10 round bolt action rifle to use for training with grandkids, there on the wall next to me was the HK SP5K calling my name..... Price at going rate (no upcharge), credit card getting warm in my pocket...... Wrestled with whether to spend that much cash..... Pulled out credit card and the rest is history..... Have CCW permit, so no wait, just NIC check.... Left shop a happy guy..... While at the range for breaking in, shared with my besties (husband/wife team)..... They LOVED it!! ..... Roller delayed blowback makes a HUGE difference to all of us..... Can't miss, makes me look like a decent marksman.....
[[ btw, am old, retired, no wife and can afford certain toys.... ;o) ]]
What's a wife??? ;-)

@kikibarrios1231 well technically you would start in your state and begin petitioning, essentially just find people who would agree with you or agree to support and get enough signatures so you can speak to your secretary of state and legitimize the idea
I have the SP5, SP5K, and the B&T APC9K and I love them all!
I remember the first time I saw an MP5. I was a kid watching the movie Air Force One. Realized then and there that a woman could never hold my attention like that !

@@archangel0137Its for keeping our government in check. Self defense is a bonus. You sound soft.

4. Walnut Stock Shotty
5. 2 AR15
As an MP5 owner, 5 reasons you dont want an MP5
1. They are picky as hell with magazines
2. The magazines that do work are $50 or more a piece
3. The trigger is heavy and slow in semi auto. Even getting a trigger job only gets you to a out 5 or 6 lbs
4. Reloads are slower than EVERY OTHER PCC out there. Scorpion, Stribog, CMMG, APC, Vector...all faster.
5. The safety is long and stiff (pause)
6. Parts are expensive just because its MP5 related
Theres more but i said 5 and went to 6
All true.
First off the only magazine you should be using is hk lol. But most of you talking points are accurate but guess what it’s pin point accurate and god forbid you ever turn it full auto game over. Lol
I own a AP-5 by MKE imported by Century Arms. Love it, I had to have it.
One of the coolest guns ever
In full auto that is. In semi-auto, it's just an oversized and really over-priced 9x19 pistol with a terrible trigger.
I own a rebuilt MP5 Navy in single select. Used to be my Tactical assigned sub gun.
I’m so poor right now, this makes me really understand that.
So recently the Turkish clones started coming out, check out the MAC-5. It's like $999! I'm gonna get one soon.
Mp5 is extremely accurate and smooth to shoot.
My SP5 is a tack driver and zeroed at 50 yards
If you want to get technical, you buy the mp5 as a handgun
You mean you didn't use the Biden COVID stimulus to buy one??
@@Franimus Didn't get one of those unfortunately.
Another great Colion Noir video. Just got my first mp5 yesterday and had to rewatch this video! lol
MP5 huh? It's also really compact. Thanks for the recommendation! Will go good with my handgun

The MP5/HK94 and clones are like owning a classic muscle car. You can always switch and change performance parts and no matter what changes you make, they will make you happy! So happy in fact, that you could take every Christmas that you had as a child, add them up, and the MP5 would come out in front of all of them!

Considering buying a can to make the report palatable in a home defense scenario.
If you have and handle firearms, you should know how many projectiles your firearm takes and has after a confrontation with your enemy ! If you don't, then you should not have a firearm ! Just saying ! 😮 Peace ✌️ ! 👍

YOU DON'T NEED TO BUY A PRE-1986 TRIGGER PACK! The second amendment says you can spend about $300, buy a CNC and 3d printer, and make your own MP5 auto trigger pack, it's really not that hard. I did it.
