My 14 Yr old is on this atm, I've notice she seems a little lost every now and then, but other then that she's responded very well, they are wean off so don't just stop them, if they've been on for a few days, if you notice any significant changes contact your vet immediately and inform them. Unfortunately like with humans, steroids have different side effects they can effect their drinking, peeing, eating and moods, but they can also help. Hope all is well with your pets
Predisonlone works wonders on dog...So good it will.mask the cause ... Then side affects later ... Long-term is not good .. But what is answer ? It takes $4,500 to find out what may be wrong with your dog on tests .. Most will not spend that ... Even if spent most likely no cure ... So vets treat .. Pred is one of meds ...
@@annabambamjerkyI’m trying to ween my dog off prednisone just don’t know how. Her vet prescribed 5mg twice a day. I only give her 3.5mg once a day and began her on Quercetin liquid for dogs I found it on Amazon And found a liquid natural antibiotic I give her both twice daily. I give her childrena liquid Zyrtec for her allergies as she didn’t take apoquel well. I just hate giving her prednisone she’s been on it for a year already
Mine is acting the same way on Prednisone. But her injuries are healing fast.
What was the treatment here?
hows he/she doing now ? does the side effect wear off as it weans off the drug ? also is muscle weakness a side effect ?
