- Welcome to Pat's Adventures & Travels!
I bought this direct from Evotech. I pay no foriegn transaction fees on my credit card so buying direct was way cheaper than the US retailers that I could find.

My page features my rides all over the United States.
I'll also be doing many "how to's" on various maintenance items, as well as, adding farkels!
I'll be exploring small towns and talking about the town's history along the way.
When I have the GPX file to share I'll be using miles by motorcycle. See below.
If you sign up for a free account at miles-by-motorcycle.com then you'll be able to download the GPX and ride these same roads if you wish. This seems to be one of the easiest ways for me to share GPX files with anyone that wants them. I have no affiliation with them.

Thanks for the video. It helped me install mine.
Glad it helped!!
While it took me much longer than your 26:09 video, I could not have done it with you. I especially appreciated the warnings about the plastic pegs in the grommets and the difficulty on those bottom 2 bolts. Your knowledge and experience mad all of the difference. Of course, the blue lock tight was missing in action. Hope the dab of red nail polish doesn't freak out the next owner. HaHa! Ditto, on your advice about saving the extra parts. I will look closer at the Tourtech mount on the Evotech bracket as a future enhancements.
FYI, I ran the wire down the rightside using an 18in zip type and string as a fishtape. No panels to remove. Caution, run it under neath the bracket of the white radiator tank so you are ensured you won't pop the cap off of the radiator tank.
Glad it helped!!! Took me longer than the video too lol
The evotech bar has 2 tabs on it so you can adjust the screen height there the bits of metal that stick out half way down the screen,
Thanks.
I have this setup with the standard screen and have had some vibration but not too bad. Depending on the screen height you can get rain coming through the hole causing the sat nav to malfunction.
Good to know! Thanks!!
Thanks for an interesting video - I am sure that all your garage time would be much improved by fitting some better lighting ! LED strip lights might seem excessive but you can then SEE into all those corners when fettling your bike !
Yeah I have been thinking the same thing. Thanks
Thanks
welcome
Disconnecting the battery will reset the year back to 2000. The service light will come on as the computer will think it's been 23 years since the last service.
Yeah I knew it made some things mad but didn’t know that level of detail. Thanks that’s cool to know
Do you remidy that through the Triumph app?
@@sambrown1779 I have a OBD2 device I use to reset the code, but I hear all you have to do is set the date. not tried it myself.
@@sambrown1779 Resetting the date/time can be done on the display.
I just spent 5 hours mounting this and about 3 hours was spent trying to line the holes up. Complete nightmare. Ended up threading the top right and the screw no longer locks, but think it will be grand.
The product is good once it’s fitted. The money is too much for what you get and the effort that goes into attaching to the bike.
I wouldn’t recommend, it’s probably a hell of a lot easier getting a clamp from eBay and a new windshield arm to attach.
Agreed that it was a lot of effort to get installed!
Hello Pat.
I bought a Touratech support but for safety reasons Triumph does not recommend setting it up directly on the handlebar.
I'm thinking of buying the Evotech support and mounting the Garmin Zumo XT GPS just like you did on your Tiger.
Can you give me some feedback about it?
Is it securely fastened and secure? In terms of vibrations, how does it behave?
Thank you very much.
Nice rides,
Miguel Lima
It feels secure but since it is winter I haven’t been able to get out and ride to see. Others report vibration with this set up. I’ll do a follow up sometime this spring. Remember any product manufacturer is going to say that so they can’t get sued.
@@PatsAdventuresTravels thanks mate!!!
@@PatsAdventuresTravels This guy fitted the same bracket for his Tom Tom and made a few mods to stop the vibration:

you should be less doubtful when filming a video to show what you are doing. practice first, check tools, know your steps, be sure..etc. most of the time you say .. I don't know, I'm not sure ... well don't !!
But on the other hand that is why I don’t practice so people can see the mistakes I make and then how I go about doing it. I am just your average guy trying to help. I do appreciate the input a lot!!
