Dude I know how I did it and it was by practicing great shinobi. Both need deflections, father may take a bit longer if you're not constantly pushing him, but he can be beaten that way, and quite easily too. I did it in 3 tries after mastering great shinobi, which isn't a hard thing to do

Another symptom of the "Games as a service" model that is becoming increasingly normal. You can't "replay" live service games, because they are constantly changing streams of garbage. Replayability does not exist in modern triple A live service games, so a younger person might not even be aware that certain single player games have specific mechanics (like increasingly difficult New Game + variants, or multiple endings) to enhance the second or third time through a game. Now games don't have to get creative with replay mechanics and make their gameplay as sound and tight as Sekiro's combat is, they can just throw a fucking battle pass and a couple skins in their "live service" game and everyone is happy. It is the death of passionate developers, and the birth of corporations deciding what makes a valid gaming experience. And braindead gamers eat it up for breakfast.

That's funny. I just decided to replay Sekiro as well a week ago. It's hitting that nostalgia age for a lot of people, I guess. I just finished a dragon homecoming run. With a few exceptions, I had an easier time going back to it since I knew what to expect. It's still one of my favorite FromSoft games of all time. For me, the Ninja Gaiden series is much more difficult, but I enjoy the gameplay loop of Sekiro far more.
I've always had the believe that the devs who design demon of hatred didnt recieve the memo that this wasnt a straight up souls game in terms of combat. Thats mostly why its so difficult the first time, its a boss that asks you to dodge like a soulslike when the entire game has been telling you to prioritize parry/block
People keep saying this over and over again when it literally makes no sense. DOH requires you to approach it differently than Isshin, that doesn’t mean it’s a dark souls boss.
@gojigiante I mean...... its a boss that requires you to dodge not parry-able attacks and punish in certain moments while also parrying here and there. To say that its like souls boss is just a direct comparison to fromsoft other games and the fact that souls bosses require you to do that
@@julioramirez8179 Guardian Ape is the exact same way, no, the fact of the matter is that DOH is a beast/monster, so their ferocious power can’t be easily manipulated like with Isshin or Owl.
Still the best game Fromsoftware has ever made, Sekiro literally reinvented the parry mechanic to the point almost all action games after it has a similar posture system.
That one guy in chat asking why you would replay a game if you’ve already played it… like okay, why do you listen to a song again if you’ve already heard it? Why do you breathe again if you’ve already done it before? Why do you act stupid when you’re just naturally an idiot?
the reason sekiro is so good is because the other fromsoft games are a mimic of another time in history in a fantasy world while sekiro is japanese game made by japanese devs. miyazaki really put his soul into this game and we can see the rewards.
Sekiro is the GOAT. I never heard nor cared about no ghost of hiroshima or whatever its called. Dude you clapped Jozou's cheeks. Well done. Owl Father low key hardest boss in the game. Excluding the Demon of Hatred. Which belongs in a Dark Souls game.
My friend is a hardcore souls fan and got me into fromsoft games, but he fully gave up on Sekiro and thinks it’s trash because of the difficulty, while I surprisingly got the platinum trophy. I guess some people have more patience than others. W game.😂😂
The Souls series is very good but Bloodborne and Sekiro took them to the next level and Elden Ring was the evolution of creating a huge open world and perfecting the Souls formula. It's hard for me to choose my favorite, I'm between Bloodborne and Sekiro.

Sekiro sounds like a final boss Charlie would face in the John Wick series
Sekiro is still, if not possibly, the best souls like game in my opinion.
It's polished to perfection
I've always had the believe that the devs who design demon of hatred didnt recieve the memo that this wasnt a straight up souls game in terms of combat. Thats mostly why its so difficult the first time, its a boss that asks you to dodge like a soulslike when the entire game has been telling you to prioritize parry/block
Unoriginal thought.
Guardian Ape is NOT the same way AT ALL. You can parry all of his attacks except for the few perilous ones.
Still the best game Fromsoftware has ever made, Sekiro literally reinvented the parry mechanic to the point almost all action games after it has a similar posture system.
I hope he's planning on doing guantlets and the Inner bosses
Cool sekiro tip just for anyone who doesn’t know: Holding up your guard empties your posture much faster than just standing around :)
That one guy in chat asking why you would replay a game if you’ve already played it… like okay, why do you listen to a song again if you’ve already heard it? Why do you breathe again if you’ve already done it before? Why do you act stupid when you’re just naturally an idiot?
Sekiro really does just have the best combat in any game
Heart stopped for a second because I read 'Sekiro' as 'Sneako'

That’s you man

I just got the sekiro platinum today and then he uploads this. Crazy timing
Dude, i have been saying this for years. It is the BEST game minute for minute i have ever played
the reason sekiro is so good is because the other fromsoft games are a mimic of another time in history in a fantasy world while sekiro is japanese game made by japanese devs. miyazaki really put his soul into this game and we can see the rewards.
Demon of Hatred was the hardest boss for me, I was bamboozled fr
Sekiro is the GOAT. I never heard nor cared about no ghost of hiroshima or whatever its called. Dude you clapped Jozou's cheeks. Well done. Owl Father low key hardest boss in the game. Excluding the Demon of Hatred. Which belongs in a Dark Souls game.
Watching him fight guardian ape and not parry the big hit was so infuriating. And the owl father fight was even worse 😭
“Grass is Green” ahh title
Masterpieces are back on the menu
My friend is a hardcore souls fan and got me into fromsoft games, but he fully gave up on Sekiro and thinks it’s trash because of the difficulty, while I surprisingly got the platinum trophy. I guess some people have more patience than others. W game.😂😂
Trying to be the hero you need to be a clown; be taught by an evil grandmaster; fall in and out of love; then get mad.
The Souls series is very good but Bloodborne and Sekiro took them to the next level and Elden Ring was the evolution of creating a huge open world and perfecting the Souls formula. It's hard for me to choose my favorite, I'm between Bloodborne and Sekiro.
Charlie still not playing Sekiro Charmless makes me sad. Everyone thinks they're gangsta until they give Kuro back his charm.
He had demon bell, which has the same effect as charmless. He could've of course had them on at the same time for an extra challenge.
You can't give kuros on a first run, and he's probably switched PC's or something since he last played sekiro
@@ilyantares Charmless adds chip damage to every guard that isn't a deflection aside from the extra damage enemies do, Demon Bell increases drop rates while increasing enemy damage. I suggest you play the game Charmless yourself for a real challenge!
@@pancakeclaper1021 He is 100% playing on PC as he always has, watching stream you can see Continue and Load Game before he starts this run. I'd wager Charlie doesn't know about Charmless, because a surprising number of Sekiro lovers don't.
@@ilyantares Demon bell is a joke compared to charmless, they aren't the same thing
Sekiro really is the best Soulsborne game.
Sekiro was the first FromSoft game I ever played, I had no idea what torture I was about to put myself through.
I would love to see FS do another game like Sekiro with narrow but razor sharp combat
Sekiro is imo, Fromsoftware's best game to date. I get that its not for everyone, but goddamn is it good.
Editor pumping out the love for us
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Yellow, black. Ooh, black and yellow! Let's shake it up a little. Barry! Breakfast is ready! Coming! Hang on a second. Hello? - Barry? - Adam? - Can you believe this is happening? - I can't. I'll pick you up. Looking sharp. Use the stairs. Your father paid good money for those. Sorry. I'm excited. Here's the graduate. We're very proud of you, son. A perfect report card, all B's. Very proud. Ma! I got a thing going here. - You got lint on your fuzz. - Ow! That's me! - Wave to us! We'll be in row 118,000. - Bye! Barry, I told you, stop flying in the house! - Hey, Adam. - Hey, Barry. - Is that fuzz gel? - A little. Special day, graduation. Never thought I'd make it. Three days grade school, three days high school. Those were awkward. Three days college. I'm glad I took a day and hitchhiked around the hive. You did come back different. - Hi, Barry. - Artie, growing a mustache? Looks good. - Hear about Frankie? - Yeah. - You going to the funeral? - No, I'm not going. Everybody knows, sting someone, you die. Don't waste it on a squirrel. Such a hothead. I guess he could have just gotten out of the way. I love this incorporating an amusement park into our day. That's why we don't need vacations. Boy, quite a bit of pomp... under the circumstances. - Well, Adam, today we are men. - We are! - Bee-men. - Amen! Hallelujah! Students, faculty, distinguished bees, please welcome Dean Buzzwell. Welcome, New Hive City graduating class of... ...9:15. That concludes our ceremonies. And begins your career at Honex Industries! Will we pick our job today? I heard it's just orientation. Heads up! Here we go. Keep your hands and antennas inside the tram at all times. - Wonder what it'll be like? - A little scary. Welcome to Honex, a division of Honesco and a part of the Hexagon Group. This is it! Wow. Wow. We know that you, as a bee, have worked your whole life to get to the point where you can work for your whole life. Honey begins when our valiant Pollen Jocks bring the nectar to the hive. Our top-secret formula is automatically color-corrected, scent-adjusted and bubble-contoured into this soothing sweet syrup with its distinctive golden glow you know as... Honey! - That girl was hot. - She's my cousin! - She is? - Yes, we're all cousins. - Right. You're right. - At Honex, we constantly strive to improve every aspect of bee existence. These bees are stress-testing a new helmet technology. - What do you think he makes? - Not enough. Here we have our latest advancement, the Krelman. - What does that do? - Catches that little strand of honey that hangs after you pour it. Saves us millions. Can anyone work on the Krelman? Of course. Most bee jobs are small ones. But bees know that every small job, if it's done well, means a lot. But choose carefully because you'll stay in the job you pick for the rest of your life. The same job the rest of your life? I didn't know that. What's the difference? You'll be happy to know that bees, as a species, haven't had one day off in 27 million years. So you'll just work us to death? We'll sure try. Wow! That blew my mind! "What's the difference?" How can you say that? One job forever? That's an insane choice to have to make. I'm relieved. Now we only have to make one decision in life. But, Adam, how could they never have told us that? Why would you question anything? We're bees. We're the most perfectly functioning society on Earth. You ever think maybe things work a little too well here? Like what? Give me one example. I don't know. But you know what I'm talking about. Please clear the gate. Royal Nectar Force on approach. Wait a second. Check it out. - Hey, those are Pollen Jocks! - Wow. I've never seen them this close. They know what it's like outside the hive. Yeah, but some don't come back. - Hey, Jocks! - Hi, Jocks! You guys did great! You're monsters! You're sky freaks! I love it! I love it! - I wonder where they were. - I don't know. Their day's not planned. Outside the hive, flying who knows where, doing who knows what. You can't just decide to be a Pollen Jock. You have to be bred for that. Right. Look. That's more pollen than you and I will see in a lifetime. It's just a status symbol. Bees make too much of it. Perhaps. Unless you're wearing it and the ladies see you wearing it.
This is speaking about scary video things, along side Mr nightmare is chilling scares who also does research and talks about reality based things
He should try Resurrection mod its soo well made it feels completely natural but like a new game at the same time.
God I love sekiro so much the only game that has made me feel like a badass anime character
Fr, sekiro is by far my favourite fromsoft game. Might be because it took me years to get past even the first chained ogre and then the first snake encounter (negative iq ngl) but at least once I finally realized how to play the game, it feels so much better to beat it. Okay yap over.
You should check out the montages from rotomatic. The fight scenes that guy gets out of this game are crazy
I said this before and I'll say it again, this game would easily get top 10 if they had to rank best video games of the past 20 years. Truly a timeless masterpiece with amazing plot, characters and gameplay.
What is with the views with this video? At this point the video works would have had almost a million views.
grass is green ah title
i loved sekiro so much the first time I played it but I ragequit when I couldn’t beat the final boss for like a day no matter what I did
i need sekiro dlc or a sequel fr, i think its the best fromsoft game like by far
you never forget the dances you do with the bosses, after you beat them once the future attempts are literally just you shitting on them. Jacob Geller has a video on sekiro called like “Pursuit of Perfection” or something, its a great video essay

Is this the 15th sekrio is a masterpiece video he has posted. We get it man...its above average
My favorite game of all time. I've played it so many times, and I always love it. I dont always fight the headless 🤫.
warm hands on my cold sac is a fire stament
Something you’d hear in metal gear rising vengeance
lol everything should work that way, the older you get, the wiser and more proficient you become in your skills.. this generation has it backwards, you're supposed to learn as you age and never stop learning and refining your efficiency
It really is amazing that gotta make a sekiro 2. Those game mechanics are special
soap? i thought that said new soup is here
As a kid i loved Tenchu on the PlayStation and this game reminded me of it, blended with that FromSoft format made this game one of my all time favourites.
Charlie playing the game for three times now (I think...) and not getting the Return Ending should be a crime.
I unironically believe sekiro is the greatest game of all time.
In terms of combat system, for sure.
@mucicafrajer Its such a huge step up from regular souls games, instead of spamming R1, you spam L1..
Truly, a combat system worthy to be deemed *Beyond a masterpiece*
You should play this like a rhythm game
IVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOREVER BETTER THEN ELDIAN RING HANDS DOWN
Sekiro: Charlie Dies 3,781 Times
I guess charlie will never experience the other versions of bosses from the gauntlets. Disappointing
Bruh I read this as Sneako is amazing and was like, hold up, wtf lore did I miss
