- In this particular video.... we make to our 14 day free campsite on the sandy beach of Surfside in Freeport, Texas located in Brazoria County.
Welcome to my channel PandaMonium. My name is Ausia and my dog's name is Moo-moo... my rig is the Lucky Panda, a 28ft 2018 Coachmen Leprechaun towing a 2008 Chevy Colorado or sometimes a trailer and 2014 Can-Am Maverick 4 wheeler. I live full-time in a motorhome off the grid with 700ah of Battle Born lithium batteries and 600 watts of solar. My channel is about traveling in my RV to different locations across the U.S. with various friends that I call my tribe, where we camp, hike, bike, paddle board, 4 wheel, go to events and venues, eat at different resturants and explore new places. Certain times of the year I'm at my homestead in Williams the high desert of northern Arizona where we are working on projects, homesteading, gardening and try to practice permaculture and being self-reliant. I am transgender and part of the LGBT community and just wanting to be open and honest about who I am.... I welcome anybody with an open mind and heart. "Onward Bound!" Happy Homesteading!

I grew up in Houston, just a hop skip and jump to Surf Side. it was our weekend EVERY WEEKEND..
There used to be a moving Tiki Club/Bar on the beach .. lots of comedy shows there.. The beach isn't as white as it used to be due to all of the oil spills in the gulf. Y'all have a good time.. stay safe & Travel onward

Ausia I spent a lot of my youth on that beach. Back in the late 60's there used to be a club that was out on the water with a beach band and dance barefoot. But a hurricane came and wiped it out. So nice at night as you can see the ships at night out in the Gulf. Love the sounds of the waves as so relaxing. Thank you so much for the memories. Wish I were there. Hugs to Moo moo. Enjoy!!!

I grew up there or should I say within a 30 minute drive. I would take my twins as toddlers early in the morning and cook breakfast and then go home, rinse them off with a hose. They were ready for a nap and then I could do laundry. I'm talking about 1971.

MooMoo is so well trained. She's such a sweet and smart girl. That beach looks amazing. I lived in Pensacola for 18 years and the Gulf beaches are wonderful.

That's so funny!!! We were down there at Surfside last October for a beach wedding!!! It was great, with the reception at the yacht club you went by as you crossed the inter coastal on the north side of the highway. We also ate breakfast at Sweet T's. It was delicious. My wife and I stayed in a air b n b in Freeport just across the bridge, west of the Bucky's. Hope ya'll had good time.
Hopefully the rain will stop for a while!!!

My sister has a beach house at the surfside beach i ruined thr engine on a previous vehicle got stuck and ended up so much sand in my engine it messed it up i dont drive on 😮 the beach no more..moo moo and kellog are best buds soo cute

I love that beach. My big family rented a beach house down the street from you twice. To get everybody on the same vacation schedule was the biggest challenge. 8 to 10 bedroom house wasn't cheap for 10 days. But splitting it up it works. Lots of fun.

Love that area. I spend Jan 2023 camping on the beach. Shipman's Landing RV park lets you dump and get water for $20. And they have a laundry next door. Best time camping there.

We actually went to a paid Campground to stay for a night, which includes the water and dump. You can pay for it separately which was 10 bucks.

Okay I get it now. Why move move is so well behaved. I think she's scared out of her mind? Looking at that, backyard, beach chair. With the Sheep Skin. That's probably freaked mumu out? And that's why she so well behaved. She thinks she could be next?
I just love that chair. What a great idea! I've been wondering what to do with my New Zealand sheepskins? Now I know! Why didn't I think of that? I must be stoned? And overly content? Hmmm?
Yes I think your move was good. Because it's going to come all the way up there at high tide. You do remember the ocean has tides, right? It's not just a detergent. And they are not pods. They are big waves. And you could wake up out at sea. Then what are you going to do? As it also looks like a potential for rain? And while the sand might be solidly packed now. It's not so much when it rains. And you sink. It starts to reclaim your vehicle quickly. You don't have to wait for the rust. Destruction will be instantaneous. Are you a good swimmer? I sink if my lungs are not full of air. Then getting back to the surface is tough. And at 68. I don't think I'll be doing that much anymore. It was fun when I was younger.
When my entire life is in my Motorhome. I will take less chances with it. And not much one can do about, Tornadoes. Except not being in a place where they get a lot. I'm not hot on wildfires either. And I can do without snow. I now largely prefer, Endless Summer. And so I will likely hang out in the great, Southwest. I do love the heat. But I wither from it quickly. And suffer heat prostration. So I have to have available air conditioning. To switch on. And skimpy clothing. I don't care what anybody sees. I'm 68. And my husband is long dead. I miss him so terribly. Every waking moment of every day. Oh my God we were so in love. After 22 years together. And just taken from me like that. I wasn't even there. I was out of town. When I got the notice my husband was dead. I freaked. I'm still freaking. 9 years later. It seems like only yesterday. I got my last kiss. Oh how I miss his lips. And he looked like George Clooney. With blue eyes. I was the luckiest person on the planet. For 22 loving years together.
And a few months ago. I lost my younger brother. My only sibling. I can't believe he's gone. I can't believe they are both gone. Just like that. And I found my brother on the floor. And called 911. I couldn't revive him. I tried desperately. He was gone. From hours earlier.
And so 2023 was a lousy year. I lost friends. I lost my brother. Our mother is turning 100. And her brain is gone. Though she still mostly functions. Conversing with her makes no sense anymore. It's not Alzheimer's. It's not dementia. It's hardening of the arteries, old age. And shrinking of the brain. And her memories, gone. Or terribly distorted. Especially when I was there in my 20s. And she still thought I was 6. Nope. I certainly wasn't. And she tells me I can't possibly remember it. Because I wasn't there. She told me. This keeps happening. With every conversation. I can't talk to her anymore. It's blowing my mind, badly. I'm watching her vanish. She's already gone. I hardly know who this old woman is? But she's mom. And always has been.
She did everything right. She didn't drink. She didn't smoke. She was physically active, always. She ate right. Sleep was no problem for her. She always got proper. And now she is 100. She may outlive me. But I need to be there for her. And I want to be. But it is getting more difficult. And I am not a senior care, specialist. And I'm not very maternal. I was an engineer. For over 50 years. I don't know anything else. I never really expected, this. This is like nothing I expected.
