That infamous photograph of Concorde in flames as it struggles to get off the ground is such a sad scene. It illustrated not only the end of the lives onboard that aircraft, but of the entire Concorde fleet. I was in complete shock when I saw that picture for the first time ever about a year ago. I am French, and I remember the pride of the country for this invention that was Concorde. The plane taking more than a hundred passengers, the fastest in the world. But it was the most expensive too. But from Paris to New York, it seems to me that it took less than 3hoo to go, instead of 8-9h00 ...
Most countries around the world wanted to know the secrets of this product, Concorde.
I was 12 when this drama happened. Within three years after this regrettable accident, the cause of this accident had indeed been discovered.
