To be fair though, back in 2018 when this happened, Airbus manuals didn't put any limit (like they do on other failures) on the number of resets for this fault. So technically it was fully legal to fly this way. It has since been changed! The issue that made all the holes in the swiss cheese align was when they actually forgot to reset it...and the very unsuspected behavior of the SEC after the bounce.

I know, the students were under enormous pressure to do everything right, but if that last student had just pulled the throttles and said, "The stick is almost full aft and we're not rotating; I'm aborting", maybe it would have gotten the attention of the instructor pilot.

The subtitles will really be much easier to read in sentence case. That‘s best practice (check any film) and also the reason why road signs were changed from title case to sentence case. We remember word shapes. Words set in all caps are box-like, hence more difficult to read. This all applies to text using the LATIN alphabet.

With all caps, when you read WIRKS, your mind wants to figured out if it an acronym, but “the logic behind how it wirks that way” gets processed as nothing else other than just a misspelling. Bottom line, it’s just a lot easier to read lower case lettering instead of all upper case lettering.

Hmm, the instructor was supposed to monitor the instruments, including ECAS, which clearly stated at that stage MANUAL TRIM ONLY (this detail is missing in the video). He should had some idea what's going on, grab the trim wheel and act. But it's good it ended up this way, so we can have funny comments like yours :-)

I love these videos, and find them very interesting and informative. However, I have to ask if it would be possible to use mixed case text instead of all caps? I find myself having to pause and rewind the video to read the text properly, especially when there's a large block of it. Using normal capitalisation would help so much.
Anyway, thank for posting these videos, and I'm looking forward to seeing more.

After that dive and the flameouts its amazing that they managed a 180 without stalling and ended up on the runway. The instructors made up for their error imo.

Everyone did survive. Hopefully they learned their lesson and never ignore warning indicators in the cockpit again.

I don't understand how this creator is able to make such stunningly realistic re-creations. Surely it must be hours of practice and production to get just the right scenes? Absolutely gorgeous and interesting channel!

How about making video of plane sliding off from runway in Savonlinna, Finland 2019. There is also detailed accident report in english about that.

No it is impossible for them to dropout because they were Smartlynx cadets and already had contract with Smartlynx.

@@estsailor9925 can't make them fly. What are they going to do, strap them in and force them? Just say the experience gave them trauma and they'd lose flight medical status.

Even if the subject matter is kind of grim, I enjoy these videos a lot. Most people comment on the graphics (which indeed are fine), but I'd like to compliment you on the excellent sound editing. I watch these on my 55" TV, and the audio goes through to my 7.1 DTS amp and to my ears via a bunch of Wharfedale speakers and a Mission subwoofer. If I crank up the volume and close my eyes, it sounds almost as if I were on a real plane (even if the audio probably isn't true multichannel). Keep up the excellent work!

Channel pooped up on suggestions. Being the grumpy old fart that I am, I was like, "Oh geez not another one of these channels!" but clicked on a video anyway and am more than pleasantly surprised. Good content and well covered. I thought Mentour was enough but clearly I needed more. Liked and subbed.
