Thank you, Mark! I feel like Rosie the Riveter. Your instructions were very easy to follow. My husband has been ill and this is only one of the many things that I've had to learn. You did a good thing today.
Watched the video and was able to do the work on my vacuum in only a couple minutes. I had a feeling this was easy but wasn't sure what to do exactly and this helped me to do it with ease. Thanks for the video.
Thank you! Exactly as you instructed! Now I Don’t have to wait forever for a man to get around to fixing it 🙄 Lord knows I break my fair share of belts! Pretty proud of myself ! thanks again for your help!
Awesome! I just changed the belt to one of my vintage vacuums that was a bit tricky to fix. She's up and running, and is an excellent addition to my collection. Thanks!
@jungillest No. There are dozens and dozens of vacuum belt sizes and styles on the market. It's true that one vacuum belt type and size is usually designed to fit several vacuum models, but matching the correct belt to a vacuum must be done on a case-by-case basis with the vacuum's model number. You can use our website's part finder at eReplacementParts*com to quickly find the right belt for your vacuum model. Also, you may find our our Vacuum Belt Buying Guide article very helpful.
Hey thanks! I had searched to see why my vacuum was harder to push and I found it could be the belt is slipping. Even if it isn't the belt is a couple of years old and should be changed. Now after watching your video I know what to do. So I am off to do this. Thanks again!
Thank for making simple. I have question as I replace belts, they will break easily and evan not last more than 30 minute of continuous vacuuming. I was wondering if i am installing wrongly. Pls advise.
@Nena15C Most belt changes should be pretty similar, although, different vacuum belt styles can change things a little. We're waiting for a good bissell cleaner to come through the shop so we can record a demonstration. Keep checking back and thanks for watching!
Heh, it goes to show how long you've been doing this job Mark!! LOL! You make it look soooooo simple!! Your video was awesome! It was a task, but I got the task done!! Thank you so much!!
@jungillest We just placed the url link to that Vacuum Belt Buying Guide article in the description of this video page, underneath the link to the repair article for this video. Great question! Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Thanks Marv! That was very helpful-- just as we were worried that the new belt was smaller than the old, you told us it was supposed to be that way :) Thank you!
Hi and thank you. I changed the belt but it now seems that my "bare floor" and carpet mode for upright Panasonic always has the beater bar going. Have I looped it incorrectly? Thank you.
About Vacuum Cleaner belts, I've always tough the belt needed to be for each specified vacuum, I was going to throw away my Shark Navigator now after just purchasing a New Dyson Small ball on credit. I don't know what do do now? Could this Shark Vacuum use any Vacuum cleaner belt? that is a BIG QUESTION.
I did this but when I turned vacuum on within a minute the new belt melted at the point where the pulley( thing you put belt around) it was smoking hot,
+Nancy Uhl Check to make sure the belt is in the correct location on the Brush Roll. It sounds like either the belt is in thewrong location or the Brush Roller is bound up or seized. Take the belt off from the motor and see if the Brush Roll spins freely.
+eReplacementParts.com hi I'm having same issue as above, I cleaned it and fixed it in right position but the roller is not spinning. Not sure what I missed
