- With rising prices and higher inflation, we stocked up on the items that were on sale (ends on June 13th) at Costco and Sam's Club.
Some of the items that we purchased on this trip from Costco and Sam's Club included Ziploc Bags, Finish, Bread, Chobani Flip Greek Yogurt, Totino's Pizza Rolls, Noodle Bowls and more.
We suggest in stocking up on non perishable items or longer shelf life items that is on sale. Laundry soap, clothing, cleaning supplies like Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or cereal - like Cheerios.

Here is a tip for storing food in a chest freezer.. I saw a post on You Tube and it helps.. The idea is to use various reusable bags with handles. I bought some on Amazon.. They are lightweight and they are various colors.. I put beef in red, chicken in yellow, pork in blue . I put a sign on the wall that indicates what is in each bag.. So, when I need chicken, I pull out the yellow bag. Or if I need another family member to get beef, I just say "pull out the red bag"... etc. There are tons of ideas from other people on You Tube and this idea works for me.. I bought a new chest freezer this past January on sale at Home Depot 7 cubic ft.. The bag idea works great and I can freeze large items like turkeys, ham, etc,. which is difficult for me in an upright.. I enjoy your videos.. Peg got me :hooked" on those Outshine bars... I LOVE THEM.. .Thanks Peg..

You can freeze eggs
I take and separate the egg whites and yolks into a lightly greased ice tray. Once frozen, I put into ziplock bags.Then all you have to do is take out what you need , when u need it
We just got rid of our chest freezer and bought a upright freezer. We didn’t like the chest at all....what a pain to dig for the food, and yes, you forget about food at the bottom. Much happier with the upright and easier to organize.
We have a huge upright freezer and we love it!
When freezing the eggs, do not freeze them in the shell...Just crack each egg into an ice tray and freeze then after frozen you can put them into a ziplock bag or other freezer safe container. (they are good for up to 1 yr)

Inflation is crazy right now. I think we’ve stocked up enough where all we will need is fresh fruit and vegetables for at least 6 months🤞🏼
I try and do the same! Mostly all I need to get from the market is veggies/fruit and milk.
you can freeze milk if it has some fat in it. Skim milk will not freeze well as whole milk or 2% milk freezes much better be sure to shake it up when defrosted

The best change was replacing our old chest freezer with an upright freezer. We have a shelf for each meat type ie Pork ,Chicken, Beef, then boxed items ie frozen pizza and usually a turkey in the bottom!

For the first time I purchased costco ground chuck last week. I purchased it the day before it expired and was marked down to $3.29/lb, and only those packages ready to expire were out on display.

When there is a limit on items you can make your purchase and walk out of the store and then walk back in an purchase again .

Only if you use a second card. They track how many of each item you typically buy. If the computer can see that you’ve already purchased the maximum number of an item, you can’t buy more for at least a couple of weeks.
You can’t do that
It shows up on the card
They tell you you got all the coffee or any other stuff on sale and can not go back during the week sale at all
I don't know where you live but here in Missouri you can only get what is allowed per card per sale. So no mam I can not just go right back into the store and buy more and my same card.

We always get chicken breast at Sam's. It was 1.73/lb when we bought it last week.
There is talk of chicken shortages coming up. So I'm sure people are panic paying and that's why they have a limit

Costco has disinfecting wipes for $1.99 after $5 off a pack for now until new sale ad comes out...you may need them for travel...Nice and Clean brand...could not find them today at our Costco.

Your ground beef prices at Costco are a 20 cents a pound cheeper than here. I just bought a big pack (just over 6 pounds) at our local grocery store for $3.49 a pound and that's a good price here lately. I am going to cook it up in the Instant Pot and Crock Pots and use for lasagnas and casseroles, then freeze the rest in usable portions.
That ginger beer is good. We have no salt bacon, but I haven't seen the ginger beer in Western Pennsylvania.
The Kirkland toilet paper rolls have gotten smaller just like the paper towels. Toilet paper rolls were 425 now 300 something.

We do not. It is already vacuum seal in the package.
Hi Steve and Peg , I have enjoyed watching the videos from across the pond in the UK , I wish our prices were as cheap as in the USA , also you have bigger size products in the US , I have been to America many times and I love America,. When you are walking round Costco and I see Chips Ahoy on the shelves it makes me want some because I always buy them when I am in America, I am like Steve and like my cookies. My friend lives in LA so I am hoping to visit him next year. I find your videos interesting and every time I watch I give you a tick every time. I will enjoy watching more videos , stay safe and let’s hope 2022 we will go got rid of this Covid completely. I love coke and in the stores in the UK it’s £11.00 for 24 cans which works out at $14.97 , Diet Coke at the moment in the stores is on offer for £8.50 which is $11.57 at todays exchange rates.next time I visit Costco I will see what the prices are for coke. Could you please film a bit slower when you walk down the aisles and show more prices. I love to see how much things cost in your stores. In Australia we don’t have half the variety of things that you have.
There was a warning awhile back that there would be chicken limits. They are saying there will be beef limits very soon

What is the tip about leg cramps? Magnesium?
Magnesium supplements, pickle juice, mustard, bananas, tonic water, milk, calcium pills were some of the suggestions.
Just use plastic baskets in the chest freezer. They stack on top of each other and easy to move around.

I'd just like to point out that the cost per tab of the Finish at Costco was 12.17 cents and the one on sale at Sams was 12.7 cents. While it was on sale your per unit price was actually slightly higher.
The Sam's Club one on sale was priced lower per unit on the sale. It was $10.84 / 117 = .093 each.

Kombucha is pronounced like kum boo cha!
I use to drink the Kombucha drinks but then at Sam's club I found the KARMA water...LOADED in vitamins and the water isn't "active" until you puncture the top to powder flavor mixture to mix into the purified water below in the bottle. The KARMA water has a shelf life of 2 years versus the Kombucha water of a couple of weeks.
Also I have noticed since I started drinking the KARMA water I no longer have leg cramps thru the night...

Closer to the start of school, things like snack packs of chips and cookies and sandwich bags will go on sale.
Nice variety pack on the Ziplocs! I don't remember seeing those.
Why bother to freeze milk or eggs, even if the price goes up a buck, it's still cheap enough to buy. Maybe put the bag of cookies or ice cream back, save money that way.
