BHS 6 The Finale

The Finale is the culmination of all melodic and harmonic motifs introduced in a symphonic work. This video is the completion of the previous 5 videos in this series. I want you to recognize the value of knowing how music functions as an organized process to help you identify and organize the elements of your playing, and ultimately, your life experiences.
Maurice Ravel wrote a piece called Bolero. It starts with a simple rhythmic pattern and bass elements that develop as solo instruments are added until it builds to its raucous Finale of beauty and complexity. this is the metaphor of existence that we travel with Ravel. Give him a listen below.
