In this 4th update about our custom-made kalk reactor for our 1680 gallon reef aquarium, Jeff Turner and the team of Reef Aquaria Design traveled to Plant City to visit the headquarters of ACI Aquaculture to talk with Chris Meckley, the owner and a passionate aquarist with extensive knowledge of coral reef aquarium habitats.We discussed the importance of kalkwasser and keeping pH stabilized in our aquariums. Another great video. The unanswered question for me is the difference between a Calcium Reactor and Kalk Reactor. When to use which, or both, especially on a large reef tank.

Use Kalkwaser reactor until once that can't keep up with coral uptake turn on Calcium reactor during day Kalk at night. Reefmoonshiners for trace elements for that perfect tank
