I think the analog always sounds the best in everything, pedals and amps, but you always get so many more features with digital. Makes the choice hard to choose so we all end up with a little of both!😊👍
@@TheSpaceGuitaryessir… I own and have used a dd3t for years now. Nothing compares but this DM2W has some incredible tones… might just have to pull the trigger and test out both myself
I have an early Boss DD-3 (Long chip - same internals as the DD-2) and I cannot part with it. No other delay - digital, nor analog - that has come and gone since I got the DD-3 has made me think - now this is 'better'. Something about it I love. Simple as. I've just ordered a used DD-3T to sit alongside it as I want tap tempo and subdivisions. I don't expect the DD-3T to sound exactly the same as my old one, but this video makes me hope it will be close enough ;)
Fantastic playing and beautiful sounds! Love the bright and dark characteristics of each pedal. I once had both pedals and enjoyed stacking them, but unfortunately sold them to try other delays. May have to revisit them to reach the cosmos. Thanks for sharing!
I was searching reviews about these two pedals, but suddenly the sound that you make has touched my soul!! thank you to make me more happy in this sad day
Can't decide ! Love the sound of the DM-2. It's warm, full, ,but stays sparkly (compare to a much darker Carbon Copy), and seats nicely behind the dry signal. But also love the DD-3 for the more crazy sounds he can do. Short loop, stuttery/helicopter effect, etc... all kind of noise I love from bands like Bloc Party or The Kills. Might end up with both. DM-2 for musicality, DD-3 for rhythmic special effects.
Like anything digital, the dd3 (as expected) sounded cold. That said, I used to have a DD 3 and I liked it, but I have to admit, I like that simple wazza pedal more.
Dear Sir, Firstly, your thumbnail image is hilarious since you are apparently a perfect example of calm thoughtful coolness with very good English skills too. Secondly, how can I not subscribe to a channel that has a wall of Roland Jazz Choruses on its main page? I cannot NOT, subscribe that is, and ESPECIALLY after you rather expertly revealed such supremely useful hidden "secrets" in the use of the Jazz Chorus' control options. Very well done indeed. You should just "Dare" anyone not to subscribe after watching your presentation to the End. Subscribed!
What a Wonderful comment this is! I’ve read it multiple times! It’s messages like yours that give me the strength to continue this UA-cam project. Thanks 🙏🏻 mate

Everything you say it’s true. But this DD3 sounds so good that makes you think

Thanks for the nice comment mate, really appreciate you liking my video. Please subscribe if you haven’t already!
Thank you for this lovely video! This is exactly the head-to-head comparison that I was looking for!
Thanks mate, I really appreciate your comment

Why this is a sad day, mate?
I hope your sad day got better.
That chorus from the amp is ridiculously good. Oh my god. I came for the delay and ended up swooning for chorus.
Jazz Chorus and Boss pedals is a match made in heaven. Please subscribe
I found the DM-2W instantly warmer and just better sounding. I have the DD-3 but now want to switch!
I don’t know if it’s better, it depends on the applications. I can’t choose, I keep both
They have different uses and depends what the part needs. I use both
@@mmaviator22 👍🏻 I do the same

Exactly my point mate
They both sound great but I lean a bit more towards the red one because it's so smooth. The DD3 for sure has it's applications as well.
They both make sense
DD-3. Especially if other instruments are in the track.
I love them both. Please subscribe
A matter of taste and your budget
They cost almost the same and you can’t go wrong with either of these
True about the taste / application.
One also has tap tempo and subdivisions, the other has expression control. So theres that.

I think that the DD3 is amorg the warmest digital delay in the market. So good and natural that can substitute an analog one.
What is your amp and guitar for your clean guitar tone? sounds fantastic, even before pedals.
Jazz chorus (22) and Yamaha Revstar mk2 rsp 20 x. Basically everything is good through a jazz chorus
I was so sure of buying the digital but after watching this I’m not so sure
You can’t go wrong in any case mate. Please subscribe
If the DM-2W had tap tempo it would be perfect
It's a set and forget pedal mate, it's perfect as it is
Can you use them together? or should I stick to one at a time?
At the end of the video there is a dual delay tone from both pedals. Check it out
